Until something changes I would not recommend. At noon on a Thursday we were the only ones in the restaurant. Ordered a mediterranean salad with chicken and my coworker ordered the same with lamb. Neither of us finished it. Was just blah. I am guessing the word is already out because I never see an empty restaurant in Columbia. Feel bad for them as I know they just recently opened. Staff should be more warm and welcoming and the food simply must be excellent or no one will come.

Hi. Overall really solid -- food and service. Note the menu is largely modern twist on traditonal Indian. Good in that regard; some of the food tends to be overly "saucy". We went for lunch and found the music to be too loud -- hard to have conversation.

We came in at lunch time on a Friday, and it was pretty empty (only one other table of two who were already eating). The menu had mostly Indian food, but a significant number of confusing "fusion" dishes using ingredients from Caribbean, Latin American, and European cooking, in strange ways. They also were playing reggaeton the entire time we were eating. I don't believe the management, chef, or staff is anything other than Indian, so this was just very weird and awkward. A server came over right away to take our order, and we ordered teas, shareable plates, and salad. One beverage and one of the appetizer dishes came out quickly, but after that there was no server within sight for a long time. Even after I got up and looked around, no one was there to wave over, so I had to wait until they brought the rest of our food (and our first shareable dish was done) to finally tell them they forgot my iced tea. Also, the entire time we were eating, there was a group of people assembling patio furniture in the bar area of the restaurant near where they sat us, which was a bit noisy. This probably could have. been done between lunch and dinner, or maybe before or after hours. The most surprising thing was the lack of flavor in the food. Usually Indian food is known for spices, but this food definitely caters to a bland palate. We even ordered the 65000 chicken which is labeled as spicy and says it uses habanero, however we couldn't taste any habanero flavor, and it was no hotter than a traditional medium buffalo wing sauce (i.e. Frank's hot sauce). They'll get customers due to the location, those fusion dishes to attract people who don't like Indian food, and because they water down the flavors for mass appeal.

Lovely decor, prompt and friendly service, but the food falls short of expectations. I sampled almost everything on the menu. The chicken tacos were soggy with a surprisingly mild flavor, unlike what one might expect from an Indian restaurant. The lamb tacos were an unsuccessful attempt at blending Middle Eastern and Indian spices, resulting in a soggy taco with meat that wasn't fresh and lacked flavor. The fish tacos were disappointing, possibly using fish near its expiration date, evidenced by a strong iodine odor and a piece of meat that was crumbled without any flaky texture. The appetizers were mediocre, though the fried avocado stood out as the best among them, albeit not outstanding. The lamb tandoori lacked any traditional tandoori flavor and was bland.

First time dining at Clove and Cardamon. Every appetizer and entree we ordered was delicious. I specially liked the eggplant appetizer. Service was courteous and attentive and portion sizes were good. Will definitely return.

Hello this is Jyothirmai, me and my friend visited your restaurant to have dinner. I recently came to Maryland. Literally I’m just missing that Indian food. So exactly the same flavors and spices I feel it. Thank you so much for awesome food.

Beautiful restaurant. I loved that you can see into the kitchen as they cook the food. It’s a great experience. Samosas were amazing! So buttery and flaky. My only suggestion is to ask customers what spice level they prefer because my food was just a little too spicy for my liking, but the food was delicious. I loved the drink selection.

Beautiful restaurant, let's start there. The layout is so sleek. I loved that you can see into the kitchen as they cook the food. It's a great experience. Samosas were amazing! So buttery and flaky.
