Place was empty over 75% of the restaurant was unoccupied

Famous Dave's didn't have a record of our reservation even though I had booked, confirmed and then showed them the email when we arrived. We waited 40 minutes and they still couldn't give us a table inside or an estimate of how much longer we would be waiting. We finally decided to eat outside because the kids were hungry. I didn't even see inside the restaurant beyond the front desk. Very disappointing with a booking on Mother's Day and no discounts, free drinks or anything were offered.

Food temperature was great!

The food is always awesome whether you get pork, beef, or chicken. We also love the fries and corn on the cob as well as the bread pudding! Since our home is in Tennessee, I especially like the option to put slaw on my pork sandwich. The first time I had that was at a high school football game near Memphis and I was spoiled after that.

Crust was BOMB. Chicken is so juicy and tender. Blows Royal Farms out of the water.

This place is always just such a treat to go to. We've never had an unpleasant experience and probably go at least once every couple months. The meal for two deals often feed for pretty easily. Also, really good happy hour. Banana pudding really takes me back as well.

Everything was delicious 😋 the young man even helped mom take the food to the car. I got the grilled chicken sandwich, and chili. Included in the order was a ribs kids meal, burgers, Georgia pulled pork sandwich, with collard greens and Mac and cheese.

Great fast service, food was tasty and came out hot and quick!

The catfish nuggets tasted like they were on their way out. The dinner for 2 special is always a winner but was just above room temperature at serving.

Have eaten from here many times both in restaurant and take away with all previous experiences were positive.
Last night (4/6/2025) however, my wife and I ordered the feast for 2 and just about everything about the food was disappointing save for the fries and the corn. The ribs were significantly smaller and dry and more bone then meat...the beans were much smaller with less flavor and meat then in the past...the brisket was dry and hard. Had we been dining in, we would have asked the server to return the food, however we were home about 20 minutes away from the restaurant.

My wife and I came out from Frederick last night (our Dave's closed down a few years back). I'm only sorry we didn't visit sooner. There may be local BBQ closer to us, and I'm iffy on most chain spots, but Columbia's FD didn't disappoint. Well worth the drive and we'll be back!

We got takeout feast for 2. Food was delicious, service was good. The brisket, ribs, bbq chicken, and baked beans are all very good.
