GameOn bar+arcade

First visit; this past Wednesday after a rough day at work, spontaneous date night. Game On is not very big however they had a nice selection of pinball machines; which was the main reason for my visit. Half price token night; which was a plus. The drinks are very expensive; I believe I got a Smore’s mule with a graham cracker rim; the drink was okay but after the big square block of ice placed in my glass and four sips; it was gone for $16; not worth it. The bartender was very friendly though. There was a female staff present who was super loud; she kinda was killing the vibe. She must have threw back a few.
It was decorated nicely and there is an ATM however I am not sure if I would return for another visit; if I do; it is because I love pinball machines.

This place blasts music until 12am-2am every night. Very disruptive to people in the surrounding apartments, can’t get any sleep.

Recently held my wife's birthday party here and it was a complete success. The customer service is second-to-none, the atmosphere was somehow lively and laid back, the food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced, and the games are fun! A lot of the game cabinets are older, so you can experience some jams or button/stick responsiveness issues, but the staff are friendly and more than willing to make things right for you if anything goes awry. We can't wait to go again!

By far my favorite place to get a drink and play some pinball. The food is good, the games are kept up, and the drinks are excellent. The staff are incredibly friendly and I always feel welcome. I especially like Ennese on Tequila Tuesday, she's very attentive and always happy.

My friends and I LOVE coming here! Service is fast, food is good, games are fun, bartenders are friendly, and I appreciate that there are areas to sit that are a little quieter. The music is also fun and the DJ’s are cool.

The atmosphere was really dope. A place where we can go with your friends, get a little competitive then eat some bomb food. We had wings, the fries were good as well. The drinks were hittin. Thanks for the fun vibes, great games and chill music.

I came online to check Sunday hours and noticed a new 1 star review. Sometimes reviews reflect a genuine bad experience, and that’s beyond fair. But sometimes they reflect… let’s call it ‘personal history’. And if I’m right about who wrote this one… Yep, let’s just say the word “unprofessional” coming from them is pretty ironic. Nope!

Here’s what I actually know: Game On is my go to in Columbia. The food and drinks are great, the staff is kind and hilarious and the owners are lovely and present. It literally feels like Cheers (now I’m showing my age, but it’s true! It does!).

To the Game On team: I appreciate you and I felt protective when I saw that review. If me posting this response feels off or out of line, I’ll gladly take it down. I just didn’t want one person’s grudge cosplaying as a ‘review’ to be louder than what I know to be true. Game On is my favorite bar with an awesome staff.

Great drinks and games I’ve been here a few times now.
Everything tastes great but what I’ve noticed about this specific bar/arcade is they charge for the games which ontop of everything else makes it quite expensive. Other bar arcade hybrids don’t charge for this. Making it hard to justify spending the money on it.

I really like the vibe and the atmosphere. For those looking to have some bar food, not some high-end steak or other cuisine, it's pretty much the only place in the merriweather district where you can get that. That. Also grab a beer for half the price before you go into merriweather. Excellent service too. Favorite part is the outside area with seats at the bar and tables. And of course the retro video games and pinball machines.

This place is a great date night spot! Drinks were yummy and the games were cheap. There was a few games not working but overall it was great. The staff was very friendly and eager to help despite there being a packed house! We will return, highly recommend! Also loved the artwork!
