I can’t believe the Great Harvest Bread Company is doing this well with new management. The food is elite and the staff is incredibly friendly. I wasn’t planning on reviewing this place. But once I tasted the food and met the staff, I knew this place was to special not to share. The new manager is super friendly and even though the staff is young, their put together and treat you as if they known you for years and that your a member of their family. I highly recommend that you check this place out if you’re ever in town.

Great Harbest Beead Company is under new management. We met the new guy and he was incredibly friendly. The staff was also nice and the food came out quick. We got food fresh from the oven and even in the 20 minutes we were there, we were treated like long lost family. I can’t say enough about how good this place is. Very underrated!!

Been here many times, but n the two times in the last week that the new ownership has been in place, I can absolutely see the difference for the better.
Came for lunch today and got the Smokehouse sandwich. It’s fantastic. Don’t overlook this spot for baked goods or a lunch option!

This used to be on of my favorite places to come, especially for the Jewish apple cake muffins and loaf. I am giving the rating a 3 because the young man who waited on me had outstanding customer service. I was so disappointed in the look of the Jewish apple cake muffins. I waited all week to get it. Had no idea it was new management. The muffin was absolutely nothing like the old ones. I will not disrespect the new management by saying what I felt about the taste. I want everyone to win. The scone I got was ok. Nothing looks appealing anymore. I would highly recommend sticking with the previous recipe. I would not recommend the Jewish apple cake anything. But I’m willing to try something else next time. I pray you do not take offense. Just offered corrective criticism. Staff 10/10. I wish I had the gentleman’s name with the glasses. Wish you all the best !

Nice local bakery serving very good food as well as very good breads, cakes, scones, and muffins. They make doggie treats too!
Visit their website. I recommend calling to place your order in advance as some breads/ cakes are made on certain days.

I had the occasion to meet Seth, one of the owners and he was a pleasure. The snickerdoodle cookies are delicious? Pumpkin loaf was fresh and tasted great, I will be back to spend money at this small family owned business!
GHBC has the best bread!!!! High 5 Fiber, Dakota, Whole Wheat. And treats - cookies, muffins and scones. Thankfully they make samples available. I sampled the pineapple upside down tea cake and decided to buy a loaf. Altho it was white flour based, I betcha if it were made with whole wheat flower I would have liked it even more. Will be back when in the area.

This used to be one of my favorite bakeries in Columbia. It’s been a little while since I’ve been here and I was looking forward to the wonderful breakfast sandwiches that they served. Unfortunately today when I’ve ordered a biscuit with egg and cheese, I was sorely disappointed. Wow the sandwich was large but it was tasteless. The bacon tasted as if it had been cooked for a long period of time and sat in its grease for days upon days. It was flavorless and almost rancid I flavor. The cheese had no flavor. It was a waxy mess on top of my sandwich. And unfortunately the egg wasn’t much better. I’m so disappointed and I wished harvest bread had done what I had hoped they would do which was live up to my expectations and memories of it as a wonderful bakery. Be on your guard don’t order the breakfast sandwich if you want something hearty delicious and full of flavor, you may need to go elsewhere.

I used to come here a couple times a week, but as time went by so did the quality. I don’t even know what this sandwich is but it’s just a sloppy put together mess. The cheese is just Kraft slices and the bread is hard. With the long wait time with 5 people in the back doing god knows what just for 2 sandwiches for 25 dollars I can see why I stopped going. It’s ridiculous the price you pay for the portions you get for how slow the food is made.
We go exclusively for their Jewish apple cake/muffins... sooo good.
I ordered a combo to-go, they stapled the bag shut. Upon opening it at the park, my potato salad side was missing, but the silverware was in there. Also the side pickle was not in with the sandwich.
Amazing challah, really awful babka. We paid a premium for what was essentially a loaf of challah dough with 1 small stripe of chocolate running through it. It got tossed after all of us made fun of it for a few minutes.
