Love this place. Katana is my #1 place to get sushi. The fish is always fresh, and the prices are great around lunch time. It's rare for there to be a long wait for a seat and for the food to come out, and the quiet atmosphere makes good for chatting with friends or family. Really, I just can get enough of this place.

Good place for lunch. My party enjoyed their food and the spicy seasons. However the crab Rangoon's were not good and kind of warm. The fried oreos was not real Oreo cookies, however it was good. I feel like that was false advertisement

My go to spot for a quick freshly prepared Asian cuisine. The service is good too.

I'm a big fan of pan Asian. I don't judge. If an Asian restaurant wants to serve sushi, pad Thai, and orange chicken then I'm good with it. I specifically wanted some last week and Katana looked like just the place while we were in Columbia. I ordered the beef Panang Curry and and Fantasy Roll. When the panang curry first came out I was a little confused. It looked like a stir fry and piled high with string beans, zucchini, eggplant, and peppers. Not your typical panang curry where it comes as a saucy liquid almost-broth of creamy red curry and a side of rice. The spice level was also a little too much for me. Besides the fact that there were veggies that definitely didn't belong, I thought the meat was flavorful and tender. I was a fan of the fantasy roll. It had eel, shrimp tempura, and a play on a California roll. There were many Maki rolls I would have tried, the options were endless! David ordered the combination yakisoba (see his review, if he's posting one!). I ended liking the taste of his dish so much more that we ended up switching. His noodles had the perfect amount of umami flavor and was just in general more palatable. Would recommend the yakisoba. Most likely wouldn't return here unless I was craving to try more of their maki rolls, seriously I wanted so many of them!

Just ordered so I haven't eaten the food yet, but the service couldn't be more friendly and accommodating!!

For a lunch time takeout place, it's pretty decent! Not a place I would drive to long and far to (as a foodie).. but def one of the best local Asian spots to drive to in under 10 minutes if you live in or around Columbia, MD. Excellent service, quality food, decent prices. Dining in, the atmosphere is nice, more upscale than most Asian lunch spots. Lunch specials are a great deal. Green curry was decent and also VEGAN! Veggie rolls are my fav because they include pickled radish, which gives a yummy fresh crunch- great depth/variety compared to the basic cucumber-avocado rolls most other places offer. I live in LA now, but this was my regular spot in Columbia, MD VEGAN OPTIONS!

Not a fan. Maybe if sticking to sushi this would be different but my visit left a lot to be desired. Kani salad was dry and had no taste. Our waiter agreed it was dry, took it away and said nothing about it. (No offer of sauce, remove from tab... nothing) Chicken Katsu was okay. Definitely not the best and the Chicken pad thai was better on the second day.

This place is gross. We ordered their Pad Thai and Crab Rangoon from Door Dash. It was super gross and had a moldy lime slice served in the dish. Crab Rangoon was just a freakin glob of cream cheese inside, nothing else. Never eating here again. Katana in Elkridge is WAY better.

Really poor service. We had to get up a few times to get service and water, while the waitresses were busy talking. Food was really mediocre and not well put together. Really amateur people are making sushi, like what you would do at home. You don't go out to eat this kind of sushi.

We came and were in a rush, and the staff here was incredibly accommodating - the waitress brought our food quickly and offered to give us the checks right away to speed it up a little, the manager brought us boxes so we could head out quickly, and they were all very friendly and professional while doing so! Food was great, a little pricey but the quality was good!

Good for what it was. Would like more options for thai food.
