My husband got the cafe mocha and I got a cafe latte with almond milk and it was one of the best coffees we ever had! Our kids got their muffins and we had bagels and a bagel sandwich and everything was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and helpful and just a great experience all around!

What a delightful coffee shop. The aroma of the freshly roasted beans is inviting.

Great place to grab a coffee and something to eat. Love the atmosphere and customer service , cool place to bring your laptop and study or get some work done. I would definitely recommend it to anyone :)

The service was very quick and the employees were very friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and super clean, and their coffee flavors were on display. The food wasn’t that good, with the egg and cheese sandwich having no flavor, but the hot chocolate was on a different level entirely.

I come here often, mainly for the atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. Pet friendly. Food is decent. Staff is usually very friendly. I don't partake in the flavored coffees, but the selection is very impressive. They stream oldies (50s, 60s, and 70s), but don't let that fool you, the customer age group is diverse.

I would definitely go back here again. The staff is extremely friendly. The breakfast sandwiches were good also! I only got green tea this time but will be back to try some coffee.

Ordered the brew of the day with splash of oat milk, asked for it iced, was told they couldn’t do it while there is a sign on their menu stating that any drink could be made iced. What barista ended up doing was pouring the coffee with half a cup of ice, let it sit because she walked away and waited one two more customers, then brought me my watered down cup of coffee. It didn’t even have the oat milk in it that I was charged extra for.

Over all this coffee shop brings uniqueness to Columbia Maryland. The staff is friendly and skilled. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. The quality of products is most definitely top tier. Stop by! INK approved

As promised, here’s my 5-star review. I didn’t catch the names of the employees (I’m sorry), but the staff on Oct. 17 around 1PM are the best ??? Whoever left that 1-star review was WRONG!!! Special shoutout to the cook who made my ham & cheese on sourdough, you’re the best.

It seems to be popular for some reason. I’ve been here a few times but hadn’t been there in a while. I have learned not to order the sandwiches. They’re just regular packaged deli meat on plain bread. Nothing special. The coffee is good. The pastries are not. I don’t know where they order them from. Decided to give it a try again. Ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and regular coffee. The cashier was nice. Got my coffee and the carafe with creamer was empty. Since the cashier had a long line, I said excuse to the girl that was making one espresso. No answer. Said it again. She turned around with an annoyed look. Told her there was no creamer, which by the way has happened before, and she gave me attitude and told me to tell the cashier. I wasn’t asking her to refill it. I was just telling her it was empty thinking she would let someone know. Another young lady came over with an annoyed look on her face, put out her hand for me to hand her the carafe and took it without a word. No idea where customer service has gone. I didn’t come at anyone with an attitude. Work gets busy. That’s how it is. Not your customers fault. Oh, and my bagel was barely toasted and cold but my coffee was good. Customers will still keep coming so staff moods wont’t change.

On my various visits to the shop, I'm able to get a different selection of coffee that is available. Keeps the visits interesting. Another mention, the selection of sandwiches are plenty and they give an ample portion as well. Also they have good selection of tea too.

I just order a tuna fish sandwich and it was given on the end of the bread. It was super tiny. I paid 10.95 for a sandwich that was smaller than half the size of a normal sandwich. I called back to let them know and the person who made it acknowledge that it not normal size sandwich and it was too bad that it was at the end of bread. I already left the store so nothing I could do. I asked him why he did not let me know when I was there. Very disappointing. His attitude on phone was not nice.

Delightful staff, smooth espresso, and yummo pastries make Mad City a must for your caffeine fix. I recommend the black and white cookie, and chocolate cake. Tum tum engaged... cheers!

Saw this recommended online and decided to give them a try. Pretty disappointed. The atmosphere is old and tired, the floors were dirty, the employees seemed like they hated being there, and everything tasted off. I had a muffin, it tasted like it was day-old. I had the seasonal pumpkin pie latte and it was gross - like some of the flavoring had gone bad. Then I ordered a breakfast sandwich and waited 10 minutes for some boxed egg mix and cheese on a bagel. Definitely skip and find somewhere else to go

Was driving through Columbia and thought I’d check out a local coffee shop. I was very pleased with their menu, as it has diverse options (especially for a local shop).

Unfortunately the service was very disappointing and uncomfortable.

I communicate using written English so I started off by asking if they had GF bread/tortilla alternative- which they replied Yes! It’s on the menu. (Which should have been the first red flag, as it was not on the menu)

I proceeded to ask for a GF Breakfast sandwich; it took them a long time before asking what cheese I wanted, followed by the unfortunate “bread?” question.

You’d think after mentioning Gluten-Free several times within a 5 minutes exchange, they’d understand what I was asking. Nope.

Proceeded to tell me that they did not have Gluten-Free alternatives.

Wasted my time and soured my experience.

You should consider looking into local advocacy resources, or educate yourself on how to better accommodate your deaf/disabled customers.
Do better.

Dietary restrictions: Not gluten-Friendly.
