I came in and asked if they did indoor seating. The lady said they normally do 99% take out but was very accommodating and let me sit and eat inside. I ordered the spring rolls and Peking chicken dinner. The spring rolls were crispy and a prefect light golden brown. The Peking chicken had a nice hint of heat that left my lips tingling. Overall, the food was amazing but 4 stars for atmosphere since I got water bottles and half of the dining area is used for supplies. But that makes sense if 99% of their business is take out.

I haven't been here for 10 years. And they still have the best kung pao chicken. Big chunks of chicken. Tasty sauce, maybe a few too many peanuts, but still pretty good.

Food was disappointing. The wanton soup was all noodle, no meat, and the broth was bland. I think the lemon chicken sauce was just lemon water with corn starch. The beef with scallions sauce was slimy. Will not be ordering from here again.

My wife loves the beef chow foon. The noodles are always smooth, soft, and savory and the beef used is so tender that it practically melts in your mouth. We highly recommend trying them! Just be sure to eat them fresh as that's when they taste the best!

The Chicken w/broccoli was bland, that is, when you get over the cardboard paper-like chicken on brown sauce. The wonton soup was like pasta/bean curds floating in brown tasteless broth. Please don't order any dish with chicken, it is that BAD, seriously. The customer service WAS nonexistent...disgusting. Perhaps my brown colour invited such an exclusive Asian emotions. The lady didn't bother looking up for a second while taking my order, she was on a very important phone call throughout...classless!On a personal note. The Asian community in Columbia/HC have a lot to learn about the community. They must understand that many of us have lived in Columbia for a very long time, and have lived in harmony, regardless of race/ethnicity. The caliber of Asians around these days is unreal, they left me utterly speechless, and it's reflective even at a restaurant where taste & CS sells food. In 45 years of living in the area, I have never had to complain about any group of people. The community is diversed and quite intergrated. My children went to school here and we are very happy. This was a bloody waste of $65 on food, upon the insults on Christmas Day. Too bad our favorite Asian food place wasn't open. We immediately trashed the rest of the food, which was a lot....NEVER AGAIN!!!

Portions are small. The General Tsu chicken was bland and made in a non-traditional way. The fried rice was oily mild flavor.Welcome to the era of the lunch size is now the dinner size but the same cost.

Peking Chef is one of my favorite restaurants. Their Orange Beef is fantastic, with whole, succulent beef filets in a tanging, spicy sauce. If you love Chinese food, you really should try Peking Chef!

The picture will do the talking. Left bowl is wonton soup made properly. Right bowl of watery unseasoned, overcooked wontons that came from this restaurant. They even tried to defend this like wonton soup in any situation would be served with just unseasoned vegetable broth and wontons minus ANY FILLING. Even my hospital food was better than this. I couldn’t even get a flick of salt omgggg. This is insane for $6. I do not recommend based on the fact one of the simplest dishes is trash.

Living in the area I have frequented Peking Chef on a number of occasions and have found the food and the service excellent. However, on a recent visit I was thoroughly disappointed and sicked by an order i received. I ordered Chicken Fried Rice with a little extra spice added to it. After opening the dish and plating on a separate dish I noticed a clump of hair approximately 2cm in length in the container. I nearly gagged from the sight and the thought of almost ingesting the hair if I wouldn't have noticed it.To the owners of Peking Chef, I am sorry but you have lost a customer. Please make sure your staff is preparing food to the highest standards. As for me I will begin making my own versions of Chinese takeout to avoid the possibility of having hair in my dish.Unacceptable....The Misplaced Cajun
