This is the place to get true DOC, Napolitano pizza. One bite and I was taken back to my time in Naples. The buffalo mozzarella tasted very fresh. The dough was perfect (thin, crisp underneath and soft inside). I'll be sure to take a picture next time. The pizza didn't last long enough for a photo. The quality, texture and authenticity of the pizza made me forget that this is a restaurant chain. A must try.

Pupatella was fabulous for lunch today! The lunch size pizzas are just right (maybe a little too right ), the included lunch salad is a favorite of ours, crisp greens, kalamata olives, halved grape tomatoes, and oil/balsamic dressing. We had the onion tart and the ham/mushroom/mozzarella pizza wre done to perfection! We paired ours with a glass of the house chianti and the house super tuscan, and were amazed by the quality of the wines, and the pours. This may have been one of the best lunches we've had in recent memory, and we'll be back next week to try another pair of their lunch special pizzas and other reds on thier wine list. A new tradition: weekly lunch at Pupatella!

I want to particularly commend the service! Sarah, our server, was fun, engaging, attentive, and generally a pleasure to meet. We felt well served, but never rushed or crowded. We really hope to have Sarah again as our server!

All in all, a stellar lunch experience!

Thoroughly enjoyed the margherita pizza. The dough was chewy but not too thick. Ingredients tasted super fresh. And I love that this is in the old Pizza Hut. Limoncello was pretty good, too.

I was disappointed with my experience here. The pizza was overpriced and undercooked. The crust was soggy, the “sausage” tasted more like plain ground beef, and the cheese was scattered unevenly across the pie. The slices were so floppy that the toppings kept sliding off, which made it messy and frustrating to eat. It feels like they’re trying too hard to reinvent something that should be simple and done well. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I recently ordered takeout from Pupatella and unfortunately my experience wasn’t great. When I arrived to pick up my order, the host seemed irritated and like she didn’t really want to help me. To be fair, it was busy, so I’ll give the benefit of the doubt that she may have just been overwhelmed.

The bigger issue was the pizza itself. It was very undercooked and doughy in the center, which made it hard to enjoy. The pizzas are also fairly small for the price, which made the experience feel even more disappointing.

This was my first time trying a margherita pizza, and I was really looking forward to it. Sadly, it didn’t live up to expectations. I don’t see myself coming back based on this visit.

Ordered a small pepperoni pizza and adult ziti. Both terrible! No flavor, lots of pasta noodles and not enough sauce. The meatballs (only 2) tasted like a ball of meat with no seasoning. The pizza crust was soggy and pepperoni tasted funny. Never again!

Really good pizza - crust was just right. We had the sausage and rapini and the ham and mushroom pizzas - my only complaint is that the rapini tasted more like overcooked broccoli than it did rapini. Rapini is supposed to have a slight, almost licorice-like flavor to it. The amaretto/limoncello flight also tasted watered down. Overall, would return for the pizza.

Margherita was good. Nice flavor and thin but chewy crust. Could have had more buffalo mozzarella but then again isn't that always the case? Panna cotta was good as albeit pricy for what it was.

As an Italian born and raised I'm so excited to finally have real pizza near me! We used to go to the Arlington location when living in DC, and now we can have great pizza here as well. The pizzas taste amazing and it's our go to if we are not making our own at home.

Had a fantastic experience tonight with my family (including 3 little kids). The pizza was perfect, service was incredible (especially Kevin) and the restaurant itself was cozy and inviting. We live far from Columbia but may make the trek back just to have this experience again!

We had a nice family dinner. The food was delicious you can tell the meals are made with fresh ingredients, the staff was great and the atmosphere was so nice especially for my child. We loved the meatballs, cheese pizza and the Nutella Angioletti Fritti! We will be coming back again for more family dinners.
