Croissant good but chicken salad tasted canned. Too expensive. Raspberry danish barely had any jelly in it.

After living in Germany for several years, it is fantastic to have this quality of baking and service here in Frederick Maryland.

why are you serving practically frozen quiche? quiche should be warm, custard like even. not a dense, cold, brick.

Great classic coffee shop atmosphere. The food I chose was delicious. I want to come back soon for lunch as I saw many tempting options. My chai latte is satisfactory. Place seems clean and quiet and comfortable and staff are friendly.

Waiting 30 minutes for coffee is unacceptable!

We’ve come to Roggenart off and on for a while now. Over the last few months we have become regulars.

The baked items are always great, but the coffee service has gotten horrible recently. It can take anywhere from 10 minutes to — apparently today — 30 minutes.

After seeing 2 customers that came in after us receive their coffee, we finally had to flag down the barista. We were told our order we placed there (not online) “never showed up on their screen.”

We our coffees finally came out, mine was even wrong.

We won’t be coming back here again. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that can manage a coffee business.

Absolutely horrible service. A line 6 people or more while no one is out front waiting on customers. If you can't keep up with your walk-in business, it's probably a good idea to stop taking online/call in orders which seemed to be prioritized.

The bottom of my coffee was all coffee grounds, I unfortunately had a whole mouthful of it. Disgusting. This is the first cafe I've ever been to that serves coffee grounds in the coffee.

This is one of the best bakeries in the md/dc/va are. Everytime I come, I am always very pleased. Great customer service, cozy atmosphere and delicious food and drinks! I've tried different sandwiches and pastries and they are wonderful. I dont understand any lower reviews , that makes no sense at all. You can tell the restaurant takes great pride in making sure everything tastes wonderful and is a great experience overall. Wish they had more locations! 5 stars ♥️

Best pastries I’ve ever had. Unfortunately they’re quite expensive and the coffee drinks are extremely disappointing but I still come for the pastries at least once a month. Beware the service isn’t great when you sit down, young kids that seem too busy to get to tables on time - I take home every time now.

UPDATE: Still FIVE STARS. During our last visit to Columbia, Roggenart has definitely improved their coffee products, equipment, and barista expertise. Afficionados will appreciate the cortados, macchiatos, and cappuccinos. A FIVE-STAR stop during every visit to see the grandkids in Columbia, MD. The food is great, good beverages, eat inside, outside, or to go. Our favorite dishes are Roggenart's Signature Sandwich, consisting of bacon, egg, cheese, and avocado on a croissant, and the One of a Kind Roast Beef sandwich, featuring roast beef (of course), cheddar cheese, sautéed onions, mushrooms, red peppers, and homemade aioli sauce on sourdough bread. Excellent baked goods, too! Convenient access from all locations in Columbia.
