Sapwood Cellars Brewery

This place is SO good. I almost don’t want to write this 5 star review because part of what I love is that it isn’t overcrowded, but they deserve the praise.
They have an abundance of good beers and the food that they’ve added from Albura Taqueria is amazing, too. The servers and bartenders are extremely attentive, even to our young kids! They all help each other out and provide just a very friendly, prompt, knowledgeable service.
Side note: great apparel options for purchase and a small venue space.
Our family has been a couple of times and our review is the same. We will definitely continue returning.

Amazing beers that are ever changing, great service, nice atmosphere, and love having the restaurant in house. They now have the 4oz beer option which is nice when you want to be able to try a variety. They have large TVs but the one by us was just showing Sapwood ads, not sure if they show sports sometimes or not. Definitely recommend.

Great beer and ambiance!

This place is definitely the best brewery in the area. They currently have 22 beers on tap and then have a cider and some wine. They also do have NA beers. They have a wide variety of IPAs, Sours, Ales, Lagers, Pilsners, a Stout or 2 and a Porter. There is a decent sized bar and a Mexican restaurant attached. Plenty of tables and just a good overall vibe in here.

Possibly the best beverage program I've had up here since moving to the area. And now they have a great kitchen so you can get food at the same time. Attentive staff and again, quality, too many places start doing quick Carb and forget to bring the quality but Sapwood has so far kept the quality in line with their growth. Please don't change

I love this place. I've been following Scott Janish and Michael Tonsmeire since they started blogging and have read both of their books. They've helped me take my own homebrewing from amateur to professional level quality. Given their great attention to detail and passion for the art of brewing it's not surprising that Sapwood cellars is producing some of the best beers in the mid-Atlantic currently. I always stop in here if I'm anywhere within about 30 miles of it typically regardless of whether I have to go out of my way. They have something for everyone (stouts, IPAs, lagers, sours, etc..) and their service staff is always friendly and helpful. They also have merged with a taco place and the food is amazing too. Definitely recommend stopping in and tasting some amazing beers and food and/or getting some cans and bottles to go.

Beautiful! They expanded since I was there last. The beer selection is still excellent and very high quality. They have a taqueria now and outdoor patio.

great variety of styles and nice taproom. Sadly not enough space for more bottles - maybes next time. The food was delic too

Fantastic line up of beers that meet the needs of any beer drinker - not just a showcase for IPA (which are exceptionally brewed).
