Worst customer service. I ordered chicken teriyaki before leaving the mall. Got home to eat it and the chicken was not done, pink and goeey. So I decided to try to cook it some more before driving all the way back to the mall. Well, that didn’t help at all. So I drove all the way back to the mall, explained what happened and I can not believe the attitude and continuous push back I recieved on how I ordered it an hour ago and it looked fine. The looks they gave me. They way she slammed and pushed my food down the line and rushed me to get it (with a customer in front of me) The only reason I’m didn’t push back is because I knew that’s what they expected and wanted. I smiled, got my food and immediately ran to make this review!

I’ve been a fan of Sarku Japanese Food for years, but unfortunately the quality has fallen off. Yesterday we ordered two chicken teriyaki entrees with white rice and vegetables through DoorDash! We paid more for the extra portion of meat. They used to double the amount when you ordered extra meat. The portions were disappointing—very little meat and a lot more rice than expected. This is not the first time the double meat amount seemed off. It’s like because it’s coming to you through DoorDash, they don’t give you the right amount of meat. On top of that, the flavor just isn’t what it used to be. I used to try to replicate the flavor at home. Their food was so good but not anymore. It taste like the sauce recipe is different. The food lacked the richness and freshness that once made this place enjoyable. I truly hope this is just a temporary dip, because Sarku used to be a spot I would recommend, but this experience missed the mark. Either way, with increased expenses, I will think twice before I go back!

I went here to get a quick bite, and i got the chicken bento box. It was very delicious, and the person who took my order was VERY KIND. They gave a large portion for an affordable price, and it tasted great. If youre at the mall, you can't go wrong with Sarku Japan.

We got two beef teriyaki bowls with extra beef white rice and vegetables. They barely gave us any meat, rice or vegetables. When I saw the portion of the beef they put on it wasn’t even a scoop and I asked him what was that and that it wasn’t even a portion he reply that’s how they are and to move along because there was a line. The lady behind me however was packed and she didn’t even pay for extra protein. I don’t ever like to complain about food prices but when you pay for something extra you expect to get what you paid for and in this case was extra protein. Don’t waste your money at this place you can get fuller portions for the same or less at other fast food restaurant.

Came in to pick up a mobile order and was told by one of the employees that I don't order at the pickup area and to go over to the cashier even though I let her know I had a mobile order. When I get to the cashier, she repeats what the last person said so I let her know I had a mobile order. She kept talking over me when I was trying to explain I had already ordered and it wasn't until that I raised my voice that another employee understood that I had ordered already.
I give that employee kudos but the other two associates are unprofessional. I understand it was late in the day and malls can be high velocity, but take a second to understand the situation before assuming what the customer is going to say.

Waited a while to get our food which we didn’t mind BUT when our number was called I stepped up to get my order and the worker packaging and handing out the food looked me up and down and asked me for my receipt as if I was trying to steal the food that I’d JUST PURCHASED. Mind you I had the cup with the logo FROM HIS RESTAURANT IN MY HAND!!! I stood there and he NEVER asked the following 3 Hispanic customers for their receipt prior to handing them their food. Disrespectful to say the least and I made sure to let him know that I saw and felt the disrespect.

Ordered beef n shrimp. Paid for extra shrimp. Did not receive extra shrimp. Lady that ordered after me ordered same thing without extra protein, her order damn near would not close cause the box was so full. So why did she get hers first even though ordered almost 5 minutes before her and why was it so much more for less money? Do better.

This is what I received from my online order on 9/15/25. I added the double-meat option but the portion was really small. Make sure you check the items inside before picking up your order. Otherswise, they will trick you and take your money.
