I went here with my boyfriend to enjoy a nice dinner since we both really like sushi and wanted to check Takumi out. We got the rainbow roll, salmon avocado maki, and the chicken fried rice. Both of us were aghast about the extreme amount of avocado present in the rolls and the lack of fish taste due to the avocado. The chicken fried rice was quite bland as well. The chicken itself was pretty good but it was just really flavorless…😥 The food itself was very fresh though! Another thing was the prices were a pretty high compared to other sushi places on the area that deliver more flavorful food. Service was good and the ambiance was nice. They had Mad Max Furiosa playing and a college baseball game going.

Solid service, not overly priced imo for what you get quality wise and portion except maybe the waygu fried rice and that's questionable bc the ramen my wife got was massive.

Great spot. Had a nice dinner tried the vege dumplings, agedashi tofu, various rolls and suhis. All were fresh and tasted great. Great quality and friendly staff.

Omg- we came here last minute for my daughter’s 10th birthday. I called and asked if I can bring cake with us and they said yes! We showed up around 8pm and was welcomed with open arms. Immediately sat. The atmosphere is so cute. I can’t believe Starbucks used to be here.
Our server Ruth took great care of us and took special care of the birthday girl. The food was very fresh and delicious. The drinks were tasty too! We ordered the branzino, crab fried rice w shrimp, shrimp tempura rolls, and shrimp nigiri. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back just to see Ruth 🤗❤

The best sushi restaurant in the Howard County area. Fresh fish, creative rolls, and fantastic weekday lunch specials at an affordable price! We've been coming here since they opened and never had a bad meal.

It’s a new place serving a new demographic, and for only being open about two months, they’re doing fairly well overall.
Most issues were operational. We were given a happy hour menu after the hours had passed, there was a small order mix-up that staff corrected quickly, and we waited a while for the bill. Arrival was also slightly confusing since the mall entrance was closed and we had to locate a rear entrance on our own.
Food-wise, the sashimi was average, the miso soup solid (4/5), and the snow crab roll was excellent and easily the highlight.
Overall, a good experience with some normal early growing pains. I enjoyed it, though it’s not somewhere I’d go out of my way to recommend just yet.

This place has some of the best fish I've had at a Sushi restaurant in the United States. Some of their non-fish dishes were okay, but the fish was very good. The Tartare and Crispy Rice were both very good, so was the Nigiri. If I didn't live so far, I'd go here all the time for sushi.
I would like to note that I did go here on Valentines day around 3pm, so it is entirely possible that they had better fish and their best staff for Valentines Day.

With their 2 for 1 deal, it was worth purchasing takeout. The rolls contained a good fish:rice ratio. The the dumplings were clearly cooked frozen, but the meal kept us full for a reasonable price.

Love this spot in the Mall. Why…because I don’t have to go through the mall to enjoy this delicious food. Plus, Devin is a great waitress 🪭
