Awful! Food is atrocious. There’s better places in the Columbia area for great Asian food. Service was less than adequate. The bartender made a staff member a personal drink (with booze) and forgot to finish my wife’s drink order. Honestly, Panda Express may be a better option. This review is coming from someone who worked at multiple Michelin star restaurants throughout the country.

Ruth was fantastic!! She made our two year anniversary special by being attentive just because - She didn’t even know we were celebrating anything. We ordered happy hour dishes, which were mostly your standard - but the oysters had an Asian flare to them and were prepped so they were nice and easy to eat. Maryland roll and Scallop roll were amazing, and every Sashimi we had (Amberjack, yellowtail, bluefin tuna) were some of the most delicious and fresh sashimi I’ve ever had. We will definitely be coming back!! (The dessert was also super cute & Delicious)

It was great when they first opened, when the menu hadn’t been finalized, and I was excited to come today. I don’t know if it was an off day, they changed chefs since the soft opening, or if the permanent menu was designed inflate profit margins or what, but it was not good. The rice was cold, tough, and bland on the nigiri. The fish wasn’t nearly as high quality or flavorful as it used to be. The oysters used to be the best I’ve ever had, these were a slog to get through.
It was hot in the mall today, I mean really hot and initially it felt fine after walking in, but the seating is always by the windows for some reason so I was uncomfortable and ill as a result. We couldn’t get warm food and a big meal turned into cold dishes just to eat quickly and leave. The server interrupted both our first and last bites to ask how it is and then to deliver the check.. no rush. Kind of a nitpick but like please… just leave us be for a moment. Damn.
Truly, I wanted to love my meal today. I rarely get out due to disability and it was my husband’s treat, whatever I wanted. I hiked across the entire mall with all the down escalators out with a mobility aid for takumi specifically. I was planning to run his tab up high, but it just wasn’t worth eating. Really disappointing. Won’t be back.

We went during the restaurant week, it was pretty disappointing, unfortunately. The place smells very fishy(which is ok since they sell sushi) but the ramen was pretty bad, I was not able to eat it, the rice and beef i got was pretty sweet, I could make something like that better myself, the apps were good though; fried broccoli and shrimp.

OUTSTANDING! Service, Devan was impeccable, food was amazing and price, just right! Three rolls for 18 bucks, shrimp tempura, Tofu and avocado, Crabmeat roll and seawood salad. So fresh and the only criticism, would be the fresh lettuce, tomatoe and carrot salad under my seaweed lol! I want ALL SEAWEED! Must try and will be back!!!

Top notch service 10/10. The Lychee specialty drink was so yummy and the sashimi was fresh and the variety was quite good. The miso soup comes in a nice cedar wood bowl and tastes immaculate.
They recently had to take the Chwanmushi off the menu and I was quite sad about that. They may bring it back in the future but if you were looking forward to that I'm sorry to disappoint.
Overall the atmosphere feels quite upscale and very modern, for being ten steps away from a merry go round 😂😎

High quality fish and high quality chefs!!
Did not expect much but damn, it's almost as if I was transported back to Japan. They also have a pretty good sake selection.
Each dish I ordered was very delicious especially the scallop, sushi set and the tuna sushi rolls!
