Hate having to leave this review because I love the concept of this restaurant and the food is pretty good. However, management needs to be made aware of the repeated issues I’ve been having.

1. My order is almost always incorrect.
2. There is always an item missing.
3. My take-out and delivery orders always arrive with the lid of my bowls half-way sealed. AND food spilled all over the bag.
4. If you are offering jerk shrimp as a menu item, customers should not be receiving unseasoned shrimp.

I don’t know if the first two are related to some sort of systematic issue or it’s simply that staff are not paying attention. For this to be the FIFTH time in two weeks that this has happened, it’s absolutely unacceptable. I expect my orders to be correct, especially if I’m paying extra for additional items only to not receive them.

Lastly, please find a better way to package orders. The one staple that you’ve put into practice to seal the bag for delivery orders is not working. Drivers can still go inside the bag if they wanted to and tamper with orders. Also, it’s annoying to open the bag to find spillage everywhere.

I’m not sure if I’ll be patronizing again and it’s unfortunate because I’ve been ordering almost everyday for the past three weeks. I understand you recently opened but these issues must be addressed. Grace can only go but so far when our hard earned money is involved.

I been looking for a Jamacian Restaurant in Columbia for years. Loved the Angry Angry Sauce. Very spicy, yet had a sweet aftertaste. I went here last week and ordered two whole fish for my parents. My Dad (a very picky pescatarian) stated this is his new once every other week restaurant. My mom, couldn't wait 3 days to order again. Good food and service. Please do more advertisement so others who've been waiting for this restaurant know it's here.

I’m really particular about Jamaican food especially escovitch snapper. I honestly have not found a place in Columbia that rivals my go-to spot in Baltimore. Angry Jerk did not disappoint! It was so good! Presentation perfect. Fish was fresh and had the right balance of tartness, sweet, and spice. There was visable pimento and thyme in the sauce. Chef did his thing! One minor critique is that I would have liked my rice and peas and plantain hot (temperature) like the fish, but the flavor was there!

Food is good but they don’t seem to have their inventory in check. I came in at 11am and there was no Mac n cheese and they just started making it. Why they’re making food still at opening time makes no sense.

So I ordered the food for delivery. When I received the food; it was all over the bag because they don’t bother to seal the food. They just hand the bag to the courier with no kind of actual seal.

i really like the food here so I decide to order the food for pickup since I don’t live far away. My order said it was ready and when I got there… they once again were out of Mac and “just started making another batch”. This by the way was at least 4 hours later from the time I originally walked in.

I wasted a lot of time on this place; and even though the food was good, I question if I’m going to come back. At least not until they operationally get it together.

Tried a curry chicken bowl for dinner and enjoyed the chicken, plantain, and cinnamon sweet potatos. Decided to have the curry chicken bowl again for lunch the next day but the flavor wasn’t as good — taking away a star for inconsistency. I know they’re newly opened, so hopefully they’ll correct the consistency as they get settled in.

I was there for lunch and the food was delicious. The chicken was moist and the sauce delicious. I would say that the ordering process is a bit convoluted. There are basically 2 dishes: a bowl or an entre. If you want a bowl, you walk in and order at the first counter you come to (which has the menu above it). If you want an entre, you walk to the cashier and order there, where you can't see the menu. Another oddity is the entrees come with 2 sides but some sides require an upcharge. That upcharge is actually the full cost of the side dish. Lastly, if you simply want a cup of tap water to drink, you're out of luck.

I don't think this place has fully opened yet (no posted hours), but I saw the open sign lit and had to check it out. I had a jerk chicken bowl and I enjoyed it! I'd go back to try more. The food was very good at this 'chipotle for Caribbean food' (described by the employee). The staff was friendly and helpful with their suggestions, I could see the cook making food fresh in the back. The food is all well seasoned and what I had was mild in terms of spice level, though I'd love to try their spicy sauce next time. I was worried the jerk chicken might be a bit dry but it was moist and flavorful. The rice and peas were as good as any restaurant I've visited, if not better. I plan to come back and try more variations and entrees. Definitely a welcome addition to the area.

Delicious! We got the chicken, oxtail, and shrimp tacos (picked the corn and pineapple pico as toppings), jerk chicken bowl (corn, jerk cauliflower, pickled slaw and pineapple pico as toppings), and angry mac n cheese. Shrimp taco was my favorite since it was the spiciest. They accidentally left out the jerk sauce I asked for and yet everything was still flavorful without it. They do offer delivery but I ended up picking it up since online ordering kept giving an error message. Ordering over the phone was a little challenging so in the absence of online ordering it may be easier to just stop by and order in person.
