Some of the most amazing and accommodating staff in the Columbia area. The staff here at Uncle Julio’s go above and beyond when it comes to your evening out and family’s needs. I personally highly recommend dining here. Beautiful and quiet patio area for you to sit. Indoor seating is just as authentic as well. All food is made from scratch, fresh daily. Table-side guacamole is an experience you must indulge in especially for you avocado lovers! Not to mention their chocolate piñata that is perfect for any occasions! So interactive and delicious. 10/10! Don’t just take my word for it but go try it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. Last but not least you can set up rewards with them and earn so many things through their points system! 😊

Miss Kim Made Our Monday!

We stopped by Uncle Julio’s on a Monday during happy hour, and we had the absolute pleasure of being served by Miss Kim. She was beyond amazing — hands down one of the best bartenders and servers we’ve ever encountered.

From the moment we sat down, she made us feel welcome with her warm, funny, and genuine personality. Her conversation was engaging, her energy was infectious, and you could tell she truly loves what she does. She made our visit feel special — like we were more than just customers.

We both agreed we’d come back just to see her again. Miss Kim turned an ordinary Monday into a memorable one, and we’re so grateful for the experience she gave us. Uncle Julio’s is lucky to have her!

I can’t stand that there is no electronic payment. Also, where is there nothing on the receipt that shows the percentages to tip. Absolutely ridiculous

Uncle Julio's was recommended by a friend. I stopped in for a quick bite and a cocktail on Friday afternoon. I sat at the bar and my server was quick and friendly. I ordered a (Primo)Margarita and Shrimp & Fish Ceviche. I absolutely LOVE their sour mix and the chips and salsa served while I waited for my food. The ceviche was fresh and delicious with a little bit of heat. A great quick bite and I am looking forward to another dining to try some other dishes and cocktails

Went for a graduation lunch and it was clean, cheerful and fun. We all left full and happy with a wonderful time had by all.

Five stars for our server Kimberly! However, I’m not sure what happened to the dinner portion of chicken fajitas that looked more like an appetizer for $25…?

Whenever I go to Uncle Julio’s I get the same exact thing and that’s chicken fajitas. But this time around, my meal was a snack and not dinner. I usually have to ask for more tortillas to finish the portion of chicken that I’m served, as well as ask for a to-go box, but that wasn’t the case today.

Disappointed in addition to the fact that the chicken lacked seasoning. I can’t justify spending $25 again for little pieces of chicken.

Parking: The parking lot gets crowded quickly. By 4p on a Sunday when leaving, it was packed.

The Blanco queso had way too many green onions. The Verde sauce was to overpowering and acidic. No tamales!

Went for dinner last night and it was awful. Wait time was unacceptable. Restaurant wasn’t even busy. Server was awful. Hardly ever saw him. He hardly even spoke to our table. Sad.

In all my years, I have never experienced such horrible service. We waited well over an hour for our food to get to the table. Our server, Chris, only came to the table twice in the whole 2 hours we were just waiting around. At one point, on my way to the bathroom, I noticed in the kitchen that the pass was FULL of food (including our orders) ready to be served just sitting and getting cold. We were never asked if we wanted any more drinks and our server walked by our table without acknowledging us over a dozen times. We also noticed that several waitstaff, were just hanging out near the bar talking with coworkers while customers waited for checks and meals to be delivered. The restaurant was not at all full or busy so I was confused as to why everything went so poorly. When we eventually received our meals and drinks, the food was cold and disappointing and the drinks were halfway melted. It was the strangest/worst meal experience I have ever had. We will not be back and we strongly do not recommend dining at this establishment.

Our order took a while , the food portion is very small but they give you a big glass of drink to get you feel full because of the small portion size, be aware of this trick they play here.the food doesnt taste good. However the staff are good but the food is not worth it. I wouldnt recommend this place if you hungry or wanna have a good meal

This is your typical Mexican/American restaurant with elegant decor. The food has Mexican names but its presentation, decoration and flavor is Americanized with a Mexican touch, which is not a bad thing. It appears to be a restaurant designed for an American palate. However, I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, as much as the drinks. I loved seeing the system with which they make the tortillas that even come out “inflated” as if they were made by hand.
I recommend this place 100%

I wish I could rate this place higher because the food came out in a timely manner and ambiance was great but I’ve never received such awful service in my life. Had to ask for a drink menu and then waited 10 minutes to be asked what drinks we wanted. Our meal came out with half of it missing so we had to wait to eat and ask where the other half was. Then we both were clearly out of water and our drinks and wanted another one. We waited 20+ minutes and our server never came over once. We wound up just asking another server for a box and the check and left. The most insane thing was our server was going to every table around us and then leaving before he even looked our way. I genuinely thought we were on a prank show because of how BAD the service was.
