Came here for a bottomless brunch on a Saturday. It's a nice, spacious restaurant with plenty of room for party of all sizes. I got the steak & eggs dish in addition to bottomless mimosas(which I believe is like $10-$13) additional to your brunch meal. The steak was very very tasty and was cooked and seasoned like no other. The mimosas were ok,they could of been stronger though. The only complaint I have is that service was kind of slow. Granted it was only one person working and were multiple groups there. Maybe usually there is more staff there but on this particular day there wasn't and it was taking long to get our mimosas refilled.

The service was pretty good. We got there early; so our waitress was helpful and had no issues with her. Now the food; was just amazing! We got the nachos and were so full from that we barely ate our actually dinner. The nachos are worth the try. We were a little sad about the lack of beer choices; but nothing to complain about. A great restaurant to try out.

I discovered this wonderfully fresh, authentic Mexican restaurant by accident on the last day of November 2018. I love it! The last time I had stopped in this area, Donna's was in this space. I had been searching for a good local spot with a cool vibe and decor ever since Azul (my spot) shut down. I'm originally from Dallas and I grew up eating TexMex dishes, so I am uniquely aware and highly discerning when it comes to Latin American cuisine. The variety offered here is way above normal and is very tasty. The drink that had been recommended (Cadillac) was top-notch and very well made. The service was excellent! Santiago was my server and he checked on me often and every dish that he offered is now a new favorite. I met some great regulars who were very friendly and made me feel like one of their own. Thanks, Charmaine for letting me use your iPhone charger to hail my Uber ;)

Very nice. We just went and it was pretty empty (but early for dinner on a Sunday). Menu looks fine. Chicken burrito was packed with chicken. And my wife's quesadilla tasted great (she said). Will definitely go again.

Loved this place! Seriously the freshest Mexican food I've ever had!! The shrimp quesadilla was deeeelicious and my husband's chicken burrito was EXCELLENT... more chicken than burrito!! Packed-huge portion (it's what's for dinner tomorrow! Ha) :) the only thing I have to say that isn't totally stellar is that it's pretty pricey.. but worth it for fresh ingredients..still , due to this, I would only come back for a special occasion or with a Groupon. I'm curious about the brunch and plan to return for that next. :-) also... the mango habanero tequila is the GREATEST! THAT was a good deal... made in house and $5 for a Generous shot. Service today was fantastic, too. :)

The usual Mexican restaurant menu . The waitress provided us with poor service , was more interested in socializing with the other employees, and took it upon herself to add additional money to her tip. After discussing with the manager after 5 phone calls and promised gift card to be in mail , we never received , we eventually went in to see the manager to get refunded tip back ... Needless to say won't be goin back there!

Seriously delicious food, average service. Found this restaurant via Groupon. Two of us started with the nachos and split the carnita burrito. We both knew after finishing the nachos that we should have stopped, but it was all SO good that we continued. The carnita meat was delicious with my only complaint being the rice was bland and not exciting. For drinks, we tried the sangarita and horny (blackberry, tequila, and agave, if I remember correctly). The horny was a delicious, sweet drink. The sangarita was beautiful (margarita on the bottom and red sangria on top). The margarita definitely took over the drink when mixed. Went on a Saturday around 4pm. We were only the second set of customers at that time. The place was about half full by the time we left. We were immediately seated and noticed 2 dirty tables (leftover food/dirty dishes) which ended up not being bused until the end of our meal, even though many servers walked by them to get to our table. This is located in a business park, so parking is widely available.

I was pleasantly surprised by their brunch menu as there is not much mention of brunch at all from this place. They have everything from Huevos Rancheros to omelets to waffles and pancakes. Basically something for everyone. It seemed like everyone liked their meals. I especially liked the steak and eggs (I forget the official name) and the breakfast quesadilla. OH! The Chiquilles were amazing, I would probably get that next time... it was a lot of food though! Yes, the service was a bit slow. We were the first in the door at 10am on a Sunday. There were 8 of us and two kids... but no one else was in the restaurant so you think they would be ready to go, but it was really slow moving. We were all okay with it though because we were there celebrating a birthday in the family. The atmosphere is great! I really like the Dia De Los Muertos theme they have going on, and it is very clean and nice inside. The service although slow was very nice and accommodating to us.

Your average mexican cuisine. Came as a party of 5 and were seated immediately as it was surprisingly empty for a Saturday evening. While we were still looking at the menu, our waitress came to ask if we were ready but we asked for a few minutes. She didn't come back for over ten minutes, but we could clearly see her behind the bar. We ordered the nachos to share, while three of us ordered the fajitas and the other two ordered the tacos. Our waitress kept asking us to repeat our order because she couldn't hear us but we could clearly hear her? Strange I got the combo chicken and steak fajitas--comes w/ fajita veggies on a hot plate and a plate of rice, black beans, salsa, sour cream, pico de gallo, and three flour tortillas. Nothing special about them but they did have a lot of meat which is a plus. Honestly, the nachos were the best thing but there were very little chips in comparison to the amount of toppings. Waitress brought over a pitcher of water halfway through the meal... not sure if she was just lazy to fill our waters herself or if it's convenient for us, but odd either way.

This was I repeat was a good Mexican restaurant it is no longer. Worse meal and service I've ever received. No wonder the Ellicott City restaurant closed. Do not waste your time or money!

I've gone to Xitomate many times in the past and had great experiences, but this time I was very disappointed with the service. We were kept waiting for a while, and there was clearly no communication between the staff. When we asked for the fresh salsa that we've always gotten before, we were told they don't have salsa. The house margarita was good, though the nachos and quesadillas were bland. The restaurant did not seem very crowded so I'm not sure why service was lacking. Food was good, but the service could have been much much better.

Got the carne asada steak tacos with cilantro rice and black beans. All was good except the rice was a bit watery... $15 Tuesday, all margaritas are $5 all day. Happy hour ends at 630p My waitress was really pleasant. Think her name was Jessica

Lately, this has been my go to spot for Mexican food. The food is always fresh and flavorful. My favorite so far is the Steak Quesadillas. The Steak is tender & juicy, and the cheese in the quesadilla can stretch for days. The Tacos and Burritos are also great. The only downside of Xitomate is they don't give out Chips & Salsa. This is probably the only Mexican place ( that I know of) that charges you for chips & Salsa. However, there are few entrees that come with Chips & Salsa. The staff is nice, and during lunch time the place is usually empty, so you don't have to worry/rush about getting a spot. I've been told they're Happy Hour is really good. Will definitely need to check it out.

I've been to this place a lot of times of the past 2 years and my favorite part about it is definitely the drinks. The margaritas are absolutely delicious - my favorite is definitely the La Diabla because of the spicy chili taste on the rim. The drink is spicy and really tasty. The other margaritas are also really great, and definitely the main reason I keep coming back. I ordered the chicken mole verde burrito which was good too. The food is average besides the guacamole which is pretty good, but definitely check out the drinks if you're here!

Service is amazing and all the servers are very patient! The food was delicious and they have normal Spanish brunch food. Definitely would recommend!
