I decided to try this place today for lunch. I got a cheeseburger, onion rings and decided to try peas and dumplings. Because people rave about it around here. I love peas and I like dumplings, well this was slop. There must have been 5 lbs of sugar in this soup. I almost threw up. I asked for mayo on my burger and got miracle whip. This is a good local takeout place with a couple of tables. Not much atmosphere, but the food was good and the service friendly and fast. It was all homemade and fresh. Crab soup was delicious. Try the specials for what is freshest.
We would’ve probably driven right past this tiny restaurant if we hadn’t been looking for it! The first place we went was closed and this was nearby. The nice lady taking our order recommended any of the specials as they are homemade. That certainly got my attention.
