Don't know why you can just get us refills my son wanted another juice again no service.... To the management bring Luis back that's the reason so many people came here.... we been going to mi casita but la tolteca has better food hands down but work on your service please

I truly used to love this place, but unfortunately it has gone downhill. The staff is friendly and the food is still great; however, the overall experience has become very unpleasant.
Parking is consistently a problem, and there are frequent loud car rallies behind the restaurant. The constant engine revving and explicit music completely ruin the ambiance of what is supposed to be a family-friendly establishment. Each time I visit, the situation seems to get worse, with cars speeding in and out of the parking lot.
On one occasion, a gray sports car with a large “Plug” sticker nearly hit me while I was crossing the street with my two children. Today was the final straw. There was an overwhelming odor of marijuana throughout the area, yet another loud and disruptive car rally, and the first thing I heard upon arrival was a car engine popping loudly. While I understand marijuana may be legal, it completely destroys the atmosphere and made it impossible for me to even bring my kids inside. We had to turn around and leave.
I hope these issues are eventually addressed because the restaurant itself has so much potential. Unfortunately, my family and I will not be returning for the foreseeable future

I have tried multiple Mexican restaurants in the area, and none compare to La Tolteca. It seems as though other Mexican places around here ration their cheese sauce, barely offering it on any of their menu items. As any Mexican food connoisseur knows, cheese sauce, aka queso, is a critical of Mexican cuisine. At La Tolteca, this is “no problema.” The lunch menu is very reasonably priced and the service is top notch. We were in and out in 30 minutes today. The food was delicious and it’s safe to say La Tolteca is “excellenté.”

Ate last night, spent just over $100 for four adults: appetizer, 4 entrees, 3 desserts, tip. The food was straightforward Mexican fare, delicious and filling. The place was clean, the staff was attentive, and aside from a minor mix-up (they forgot to hold the onions in one order) the food was delivered rapidly and nicely hot.
Overall it was a very pleasant evening out.
I give only 4 stars for atmosphere as while the decorations were superb, the music was a touch too loud.

Came here once after a doctors appointment in the day time it was really good, brought my family here lastnight on a Friday night and me and my husband both are sick from our food. The margarita was nothing but sugar and margarita mix which made the stomach upset even worse! It’s like they served us bad recooked food or something. Service was good but food was terrible and they even forget my guacamole I needed to enjoy my food. I love a good Mexican restaurant and margaritas but we for sure will not be back.
Edit to owner: it wasn’t strong margaritas we wanted, but rather.. good ones. ALL margarita mix, and we’ve tried many of restaurants without additional shots and still didn’t get sugar rush. It doesn’t settle well with the stomach I didn’t care about the liquor, just “balance”. As far as the food our stomachs hurt, sent to the bathroom IMMEDIATELY. Very uncomfortable ride home as we had a ways to go; and even after sleeping it off and attempting to re eat the food next day our stomachs IMMEDIATELY hurt after eating it AGAIN. Both of us is a coincidence?? Maybe bad shrimp? Im not sure. I hate bad reviews myself and again we’ve ate here before and loved it! Bad day maybe? But I also hate being sick, I’m sure anyone does especially when trying to have a good time with your family after working hard all week.

We tried the Strawberry🍓 and Mango🥭 virgin daiquiri, and also the Strawberry virgin daiquiri🍹. I ended up liking the Strawberry best — it tasted the most fruity. The shrimp🍤 dip with the tortilla chips was delicious.
I ordered the Quesabirria, which was tasty, but I expected it to be more like a cheesy quesadilla. Unfortunately, it didn’t come with cheese😞. The dipping sauce that came with it was very good, though. We also had the Shrimp Fajitas, which were flavorful as well.
The restaurant has a family-oriented atmosphere with a mix of all ages. A downside was that the bench behind us was broken, so whenever the people behind us moved, our seat shifted too. The staff was kind, and overall I would recommend this place if you enjoy Mexican food.

Very nice restaurant and very clean! The street taco carnita asadas were fabulous as were the margaritas! Service was good. Only drawback for me was the taco chips and salsa which were only so so. I’ll be back though.

Every restaurant uses the cheapest seed oil, La Tolteca is no different, and this is our only complaint about the food. Otherwise, it was hot, delicious and a good value; service was great too! The carved and painted wooden seats are impressive, and the classic Mexican music make for a wonderful atmosphere. Except that the table next to us (occupied by what seemed to be employees of the restaurant) were blasting their cellphone playing a foreign TV show or something; it completely overshadowed the restaurant music, ruined the atmosphere. The management noticed and didn't seem to care. This continued the entire time we were there. It ruined the ambiance the restaurant was trying to set. We won't be returning, but you should try it; we just couldn't get over the (seed-oil warning! - super unhealthy) food and tolerated loud music - employee misbehavior. For a better restaurant in this area, try Rinconcito's, just a few miles down the road.
