First and last time eating here. Shortly after eating here on 11/2/2025, I started feeling bad with diarrhea onset about and hour later. Later that day stomach/intestinal cramps, chills and a 103 temp. I was seen by TeleDoc and was told to hydrate, take Tylenol for the fever and follow the BRAT diet for 2-3 days. I was advised this would subside within a day or two but no more than 3.
11/5/2025. no relief in site and a returned call to TeleDoc suggested going to Urgent Care. Urgent Care ran tests and... somehow I acquired a bacterial infection.... as in the kid you only see when people travel and eat in other less hygienic countries where there is fecal cross contamination. It did not come from anywhere else since this was the first meal I had that day and the only one since.

When I enter a food place if the first thing I smell is not aromas of food I'm not eating there! The place smelled like it was not clean and hadn't been cleaned in a while. It is very possible that their clean and my clean are two different cleans and the answer's still NOPE! The different smells that engulfed the entire restaurant, NOPE! I was treated to dinner so I was polite. I played it safe and ordered fish and fries with a side of onion rings! The other person ordered a Black Bean Burger dinner. It came with fries, coleslaw and a pickle on the side! The waitress was younger, toothless, and loud. Not very helpful in helping me decide on food choices! The menu is so very busy with bright colors reminds me of a photo album of food. It was literally a book! I forgot to take a pic! Since this is my first (and last) time there I am being very polite and cordial! Nautilus Diner is not my first choice nor my last choice for dining.

What a lovely stop! We enjoyed the food, they had healthy servings but we what stood out the most was their service. We had the pleasure of Natti and Patricia. They greeted us with such cheer!!! And we’re so attentive during our entire meal. Thanks for a quick and lovely experience, ladies!

After living out of town for a few years I have returned to the area and went with a friend to Nautilus. It was a very pleasant lunch! The food was prepared with care and the server was wonderful. I'm so pleased that it is a meal option in the Crofton area!

Nautilus Diner has been a favorite spot for years, but lately its been hit or miss. Last visit was a miss. Even though they weren't busy, it took a while to get service after we were seated. When our order arrived several items were cold as if they had been sitting for a while. We sent the pancakes back. Some of the order was overcooked and hard (eggs & scrapple). The overall experience was disappointing.
Usually have had good experiences, yesterday and the last time were not so good. Food was overpriced for what it is. Server unsold me from pancakes to pancakes w/ sausage and eggs, but I just thought it was all a meal, same price, menu is to big, but guess dinners are usually this way. Just not a good experience. I have friends that love it, so Im giving it two stars.

The food, especially portions and service, are always good when we come here. Our waitress even brought my son a birthday treat when she found out he turned one that day! I highly recommend you stop by if you're in the Crofton or Bowie area.
