The food, especially portions and service, are always good when we come here. Our waitress even brought my son a birthday treat when she found out he turned one that day! I highly recommend you stop by if you're in the Crofton or Bowie area.

It's a an old school style diner with modern styles and service. The menu is massive, everyone can find something they like. That said, nothing is amazing but nothing is terrible. The portions make just about everything a value and most can take something home as a leftover.

The best diner whether late at night or for a Sunday brunch. The servings are huge but also tasty! The challah French toast is a favorite that is delicious. The corn beef hash and and eggs are most welcomed for My brey.My husband's cream chipped beef filled half the plate and he loved it. A picky eater who makes his own creamed chip beef at home really enjoyed it.Omelets are so filling and full of flavor. The coffee was fresh, hot and tasty. The servers are attentive and consistently checked on our needs. The only problem with this place is I am too full to enjoy their fantastic desserts or get one of their luscious milk shakes. The fact that you have to pass those fabulous pastries and cakes on your way to the cashier is an unfair temptation. Which of course can sometimes work and I find I am taking something heavenly tasty home ?

Nautilus Diner is a Crofton Institution and is providing a very valuable community service. What is that? An authentic NY Diner right in the middle of AA County. The food is always better in NY, and they are the only diner that I know about in this area with a NY food supplier. To understand the unique qualities of a NY food supplier, order their turkey sausage which is unlike anything around here. They also cook much of their food from scratch. Their coleslaw is the best I ever had, and their matzo ball soup is made by hand and exceptional, as is their creamed chip beef, and much, much more. I hope they never leave our area, and I encourage everyone around Crofton, Gambrills, Odenton, and Bowie to eat their at least once in a while so they never go out of business. Their service is also very good, as they are amiable people who take good care of their customers.
If you like mass quantities of food, this is the place. Personally, I prefer less food. Senior options would be helpful.
Ordering was a trip. The waitress spoke so fast she could have run an auction. It was laughable, and just not good. They weren't busy so not sure why the rapid fire delivery.
Nice atmosphere. 4 tops are way too small for 4 people. The dishes are large and there was just no room. That wouldn't have been as much of a problem if there were staff (a busboy, please - the waitress??) to clear the plates.
The waitress was back and forth by our table, did not check to see how we were doing, did not ask if we needed / wanted refills, and brought the check, and hadn't asked if we wanted dessert. We did.
I asked for mousse and got mousse cake that tasted as though it had sat in the refrigerator for a couple of months. The cake portion was very dry. Not good and more than I asked for.
This place was recommended to us by my friend's brother. We don't plan on going back. Our waitress was just one person who appeared to not like her job, or maybe us. My friend said it was the worst customer service he had ever had.

Went in for breakfast. The food was good, service good, however going to the bathroom a cockroach fell from the ceiling on me. Told the waiter and he didn’t seem concerned. Just gave me a “oh, ok”. Where there’s one there is more. Will not be going back.
