We were on a week-long business trip in Virginia and, honestly, struggled to find good food the entire time. On our drive back home to Connecticut, we came across Punjabi Cafe, and it completely changed our experience!
We ordered chicken curry, garlic naan, jeera rice, and mango lassi, and every dish was bursting with authentic flavors. As South Indians who love spicy food, we were pleasantly surprised that it tasted just like home-cooked South Indian food.
The flavors, freshness, and warmth made us feel truly at home. A big thank-you to the chef he definitely has magical hands! I’d highly recommend Punjabi Cafe to anyone who loves real Indian cuisine.

Delicious, fresh and name your spice level. Yes, I over ordered! But I have yummy food for days! Cooked to order and you can taste it! Its’s a little pricey but it’s worth it because you are not making this food at home!!! Enjoy!!!

Wow! I am beyond happy with my experience here. I ordered take out, and the minute I opened the bag I knew I was in for something good. The rice was fluffy and well seasoned, the samosas were big and crispy, and the curries were all absolutely delicious (chicken tikka masala and chicken saag). I will say they were a little spicy for me (I ordered medium), so next time I will probably get mild. The daal makhani was also incredible. Even though I didn't dine in, I could tell the space was clean and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. I normally don't like to eat out because I often end up feeling disappointed and like the food wasn't worth the price. Not this time - I'm already planning my next visit. Thank you!

The food was just ok. Not many flavors but seemingly rich in cream . Quite expensive for what you actually receive. Not very much meat , the portions are very small. The price wouldn’t have been an issue if it tasted better. When I walked in I didn’t smell food and spice which should’ve been a clue. Three stars only because I enjoy Indian food. But, I wouldn’t return here. I think they may benefit because this area has limited choices for ethnic food.
Wort experience, they gave us tap water not even filtered. The food was absolutely disgusting chicken was old, couldn’t even cut it, rice was cold. Never going back again. Staff is rude.

I tried this place for the first time. I loved the food. Specially the veg pakora. It remind me old (pind) flavor. I’ll definitely go back and refer to my people. The place was so clean. Also, the service was amazing. People who work there are so nice and polite. So you should give them try. You won’t regret.
