Loved this restaurant until they changed all the lights to bright white LED lights really changed the atmosphere( feels like doctors office) I miss the old ones they felt more cozy and comfortable, outdoor seating is lovely in the summer well definitely go back but in the summer for outside seating

Stopped in here for after dinner drinks and dessert. The peanut butter pie is a must try. My husband got an old fashion and said it was one of the best cocktails he has had in a while.

Really cool building with great tasting food! We ate lunch during an unexpectedly busy Halloween event in town. The onion rings were soooo good, I'm still thinking about them.

Waitress could have been more attentive. It was nice sitting on the street in the evening.

Great food given options are very limited for dinner in Cumberland. The cocktails were tasty and strong. Seafood soup was tasty. It was nice to be able to sit outside.

I don't know what it is about Cumberland and it's front doors banging. Anywho. My wife ordered the crab soup and crab cakes for dinner. Soup was okay and cakes were burnt (see picture). I ordered the pork chop, medium, with mash and veggies. Both of our veggies were overcooked and mushy. Asiago mash was just okay and not very flavorful. Chop was over medium and not very juicy. The sauce was just okay.

I have walked by this several times, because I'm always dressed down when I'm in Cumberland, and City Lights has tablecloths and real napkins. However, today, in my shorts and t-shirt, I decided to give it a try.
The service was friendly and efficient.
The food tasted great.
The price was very reasonable for a sit down restaurant with such great ambiance.
I will definitely make this a regular stop whenever I'm in town.

If you are visiting or just passing through Cumberland MD you need to stop at this adorable restaurant City Lights , with unique indoor and outdoor patio dining , a pretty view of the small city and fantastic food at a very reasonable price point . I would recommend any of the dishes with vegetarian and gluten free options as well !

Our lunch was great. We especially liked the caramelized sprouts. Only reason for a rating less than 5 was the price for smaller lunch portions.
