We had the best steak sub and Italian hoagie there, the service was great.
If you are looking for the "traditional steak sub" go to Oscars it will be hot, the lettuce will be well seasoned and have a great flavor.

My husband and I drove to Cumberland last weekend for his 60th Allegany High School reunion. There was a “mixer” on Friday evening at Oscar’s where we had a large private room and several dedicated servers. We had never heard of Oscar’s but apparently all the locals knew about this wonderful place. The parking lot was full but we found on-street parking with no difficulty. The menu was extensive and it included items I’ve never seen at any other restaurant. I ordered the Italian hogie salad and it was delicious. I never would have thought of creating a hogie in a bowl without the bread.
Parking: Large parking lot as well as easy on-street parking.

Happened by on our trip home and WILL be going back when convenient! Prices reflect a higher quality of food and service. And boy, do they deliver! My wife and I loved our entrees. They do need to offer more diet soda options. Alternatively, they could switch to Coke! Really nice family-oriented atmosphere. Great job!

First time here, will not be our last. Had the Cajun chicken wrap with hot chips and Chicken crab dip sandwich with ranch chips. Do not pass up trying the homemade hot chips. Delicious! Good experience all the way around.
We were in the Cumberland area for a funeral. Wanted to have the family together for one last meal after the service. I contacted Oscar's, a day or two prior, and asked if they could accommodate 25 people, They said "absolutely." When we arrived they already had us set up on the covered porch. Our waitress was wonderful! (I wish I could remember her name.) She did a fantastic job! She had our drinks ordered and out to us very quickly. She did have help when it came to bringing out the food and drinks, but she kept everything in order and no one had to wait for anything. The menu was so big it was hard to decided what to order. The food was amazing and everything was correct the first time. We loved being on the porch alone so we could all converse and not disrupt other customers. The only issue for the whole meal was that even though they had AC, it was a bit warm for everyone. But that was a minor thing. So a special "thank you" to Oscar's for for making a sad day for the family a little bit brighter. I would recommend this restaurant and their employees to anyone!

My favorite is the Cobb salad. It's huge! Be prepared to take leftovers with you.
Literally took 45 minutes for our food. We thought it was the steaks but it was steak night so... Maybe it's because we said we are from out of town? Not sure but food was mid for the price.
