Fantastic crab cakes in a homey environment. Excellent cole slaw, curly fries and hush puppies round out a very good meal. Cheerful service adds to the experience. Can't wait to return.

Came here on our way back from vacation to celebrate my mothers birthday. The food was absolutely delicious!!While we were there we had a misunderstanding with another table of patrons. The gentleman (owner or manager) and server came to deescalate the situation and help resolve it. It was handled very well and everyone made peace and apologized to one another for the misunderstanding.I doubt if they see this but… Thank you to the gentleman who paid for our food. It was truly appreciated and very kind! I hope you all were able to continue enjoying your time with your friends!

Nice place to eat crabs. Inside is more sedate while the tent outside can be a full on crab feast atmosphere.

Spent $100 on carryout. Fish Dinner (fried cod) was bad. The fish had a hard coating on it and had no taste at all.Chicken sandwiches (2) had cartilage as if the brests were not trimmed of fat, etc. Fryed Oyster sandwish, bread was soggy and ruined the whole sandwich. Seemed that they were too busy to pay attention to the food.

This is a hidden gem! The menu is classic Maryland style food and that's what you get! The bathrooms are clean and the service is outstanding! My roommate aka wifey won't leave me alone so we had to go to din din with her parents. We ordered: cheese steak with apple sauce, a double Floyd crab cake dinner with seasoned curly fries and applesauce, a single crab cake dinner with coleslaw and curly fries and the complicated coconut shrimp with a side of seasoned curly fries and apple sauce. This place is amazing, it doesn't matter how famous you are they still treat everyone with the best hospitality! They have crab specials currently and all the crabs looked very large and the people in the restaurant said they were way good. It's a simple place and the orange crushes are on point, check them out!

Visiting from Arizona. Absolutely lived the place. A pinch hole in the wall, but everything was fantastic. The crab stack was delicious and the drinks were not too shabby either. The staff was what made the place amazing. They were on point, friendly, and made you feel at home.Highly recommend.

Definitely one of my top favorite seafood spots. The food was great and the service was excellent. Our waitress was awesome and we chatted a bit. I got the seafood platter and it was well worth it. The cream of crab soup was also amazing.

Kid-friendliness: They have open space for kids to run around if they are getting antsy

I was excited to try this spot now that I live in Columbia, given that it was less than 10 minutes from our house in the Harper's Choice area. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we were immediately seated in a quaint and cozy dining room fitted with TVs and a small bar. There is an outdoor seating area, which I think is probably the best spot to sit, but we only noticed it once we left.Overall the food was great, though we only had a limited portion of the menu: hushpuppies and a dozen large crabs. Hushpuppies of course were great.Overall the crabs were good, but we felt that they were sort of lacking in the flavor you get from eating Maryland crabs. The seasoning was on point and overall the sizes were great. I would chalk this up to it being early season and a relatively slow night. Crabs are of course an exercise in supply demand economics, and for this night in particular we paid around $110 for a dozen larges, which isn't bad at all considering the state of the the "crab economy" in MD at the moment. We will certainly be back to give Floyd's another shot, and from what we saw the menu had tons of fantastic options worth trying.

If they served stars I would eat them. I have never eaten stars from the sea (starfish) but if these guys made it I know it would be good. It's the kind of place you'd take your friends with the introduction "I know this great little seafood place..." No la-de-dah small plates here, just great Maryland seafood that says this is my native cuisine done right.
