Food was ok, service was the worst I have had in years. I literally had to go get a refill for myself. If you're going for the view sure if you're going to make an impression with someone wouldn't recommend it to my enemies. Unless you're a regular or local they don't care about you.

Was charged $24 for 4 Miller Lite drafts at happy hour. When I questioned the bartender she said it's a dollar off bottled beers only. Everyone knows draft is cheaper than bottled beer. R U kidding me, that's highway robbery. I'm assuming the bartender didn't tell me because the check would be higher for a better tip. I could buy more than a case for $24. Meaning your Lousy service & atmosphere isn't worth it. U just lost a life long loyal customer 4 EVER...!!!??

Last night we wanted to go somewhere we had been before for something seafood, something good. We decided upon Skippers Pier. I started with a dozen oysters on the half shell. Beautiful Chesapeake Bay Oysters, very plump and tasty. Our entree's were equally interesting! My wife had Crab Tacos and a side of Onion Rings. Very unique, I have had many different tacos with different variations of proteins, but these were extra special. I had a nice bowl of Steamed Mussels nice and buttery with a hint of spice. I have had some nice mussels from time to time, but never with pepper flake. I loved this dish,it had a nice piece of buttered garlic bread. The service was exceptional. With the problems being experienced with obtaining wait staff, this was a big happy surprise. The ambience here was very nautical and not overly crowded, much as we expected.

Absolutely excellent food, and a beautiful view. Our hostess, Gabby, was absolutely brilliant and really helped us with recommendations for both food and drinks. Would definitely go back again.Wheelchair accessibility: Excellent maneuverability wide spaces between tables. Easy to get through doors too.

We love Skippers. Our boat is right across the way, and in nice weather we dinghy over.

Visited here tonight. The doors to the back bar kept blowing open and our table was being blasted with freezing cold strong breeze. After asking many time was there anything that could be done, the just simply said no they can't do anything the doors would remain open from the wind and when staff and patrons went through the door. My dad go so upset he demanded to be seated away from the door, at which time the waiter was heard complaining steps away. They agreed to move us. Next we get our meals. I've been here 3 times before so I was used to quality. But this meal. And out sloppy looking. Like it was thrown on the plate. I got the rockfish meal. And usually it's stacked nice, and drizzled with sauce. It was thrown all about the plate. All the flavors were off, something wasn't right. As I ate the meal the crab pieces were ice cold, the rockfish was super fishy tasting, very off, it's usually really fresh. I kept taking bites thinking this is not good. I tore off the breading to the fried green tomatoes and they were bruised and old. They were not tart and sour with flavor. I smelled them and they smelt like rotting trash. I told the waiter, nothing happened, comps were made. My mom got the same meal and was just as sloppy. I'm so upset I talked this place up to be a good place to eat, it was really bad. So disappointed. And on top of it, my stomach began immediately hurting, and I continue to feel uneasy. Not quality food like I've had in the past. We left as soon as we could. And because I was with guests and family I held back my speech. I plan to call tomorrow. But this was terrible.

Had the French Onion Soup, which had lovely deep flavors; and the Scallops over risotto, the scallops were nicely cooked & the risotto was deliciously cheesy.

Greeted by Hunter, who later was our server. Great service ! The food was good. We had fried green tomatoes and calamari for appetizers. Entrees were fish platter, crab cake, scallops, and burger. We had the cherry beignet, which was delicious. Would go back.

I am only commenting on my entree. Looked like everyone else enjoyed their food. I ordered the blackened grouper tacos. The grouper was undercooked and there was nothing blackened about it. The cocktails were great as was the service. Going to give it another shot but not the grouper.
