Might be the best coffee shop I've been to. A tastefully decorated, stately building cradled by a beautiful park, serving cozy drinks and delectable bites. My bagel was a savory dream with the perfect dash of sweetness from candied jalapeno and pickled onion. Even the fruit cup featured watermelon at peak ripeness. Really bummed it's far from home, but I'll be making it a mission to return.

EarthTones fits the bill when you need cozy seating, vegan and gluten free meal options, and a gluten free/vegan cookie or muffin to satisfy a sweet tooth. The atmosphere is gorgeous, featuring a beautiful porch, a wall of pothos, and a view overlooking a gorgeous creek/pond.
Seating is a mix of old wooden chairs, an old couch, a rocking chair, etc. Tables are either old (to match the house) or really cool reclaimed wood and resin with coffee beans inside them. I LOVE that the reclaimed wooden table from their former location has a home on the side porch! 😄

This place is a hidden gem! Delicious food and amazing staff. Earth Tones was very laid back and comfortable. The space has such a great vibe. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I had their cold brew coffee which was delicious if you like strong coffee. You can lighten it by adding milk or milk alternatives. The egg and cheddar sandwich was filling and flavorful. My husband had the special which was a Buffalo Chickpea Melt. It was just spicy enough. If you are in the Denton area make sure to stop in.

This place is so cute! The staff was sweet and the latte was delicious. I was stopping by for coffee and would much rather support a small business than a big coffee chain. Definitely worth it!
Lovely place, lovely staff. Unfortunate last visit, though. Foreigners, beware: this establishment sells alcoholic beverages reserved only for holders of US issued drivers licenses. They wouldn’t accept my passport as a form of ID. The staff agreed that I didn’t look underage but their training does not accommodate foreigners. Although this was not my first time visiting this lovely location it was definitely not a good experience. Even though we presented my wife’s drivers license by the state of MD and paid for the drink and a tip, we did not feel comfortable having me consume my cider after remarking twice that the drink had to be for her and not for me. I tried to talk to the manager to make sure we wouldn’t affect any party but the chef, who I understand was the person in charge, wouldn’t come out to try and help us. This left us feeling uneasy and decided to return it untouched without asking for a refund as this wasn’t a failure on the staff’s side. Honestly, I felt discriminated against, but I understand that this shortcoming was mainly due to a gap in your training. Hope you can complement your training with IDing passports in the near future.

I have been trying a new menu item every time I visit. I’m stuck on the Mushroom melt! Everything I’ve tried so far is delicious, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. If you haven’t tried Earth Tones yet; you’re missing out!
