Cute, no frills neighborhood place. we got there super early at 5 and were the only customers there. The food was good and fresh, kids had chicken shawarma platter and husband had the Ruben sandwich, I had the gyro special. My favorite of everything was the garlic sauce. I'll definitely be back.

Chicken shawarma was good but small for the price. The baba ganouj was tasty when eaten with the beet picked radish. The kachapoori was cooked well. The three stars is for the lahmajun. On one hand it was delicious. On the other hand, it wasn't finished baking before they packed it. I needed to bake it for almost 10 minutes when we got home.

Wow, what a gem. Sad I have not stopped by here sooner. Decided to surprise my Armenian wife with some of her favorite dishes, she and I both were blown away with how good the food was, how good the prices were relative to the quality, and the food gave her a feeling of Nostalgia. Highly recommend if you are in the Derwood area.

Love this place. Wow! An absolute gem. This place has the best Mediterranean food l've had in the DMV area. Mostly due to the feeling of having homemade food as you take your first bite. The rice, chicken and beef kabobs are all made to perfection, tender meat & fluffy rice with vermicelli, or as I call it brown confetti :-) The Arabic coffee & crispy baklava were a delicious motivation to save some good for later. So glad we found this place. Hope they cater. The place was clean & had 2 bathrooms. Last but not least, the service was fantastic and food came out just in time to chow down.

Sasuns Café in Derwood is seriously one of my favorite spots. The owner is the sweetest, so humble and always treats us like family—like we’re special guests every time. The food is amazing! We’ve ordered catering for Christmas, family parties, and even for the office—and everyone loves it. The pizza? It smells and tastes like no other pizza I’ve ever had—something about it just hits different. This place is a hidden gem. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out big time.

My wife is Armenian from Los Angeles, and was really craving a taste of home. I was so happy when I found this place for her, was only a 35 minute drive from DC. We came in very early on a Saturday morning, and was helped right away by Vatche (the owner) who was incredibly very kind. The food blew us away, and we left with happy stomachs. The cheese boat (khachapuri), lahmajoun, and tarragon lemonade/soda was our favorite, but we are already planning our next trip here!
