Definitely changed over the years. Need some upkeep

Honestly remove your sushi pictures from here. And why even ask how would I like my steak (medium) if you’re gonna cook it SO MUCH, that there’s no flavor. You clearly don’t even know what hibachi is. NOTHING Japanese about this restaurant.

Was going to Sakura late night but they closed much earlier and Hanabi close at 10 so came here had a great experience the soup was the best and you get fried rice and noodle with all entree and at Sakura you only get fried rice the service was great cook was entertaining better than Sakura

How is this a Japanese steak house with all kinds of sushi on the menu but THEY DON’T SERVE SUSHI! Please put a notice up on google/web services letting people know BEFORE they make a special trip to visit only to find out once they get there.

Organization was lacking for our side of the table. Orders were missing or messed up but they fixed it. Wished they would've had that level of hospitality to discount our bill. The service wasn't worthy of the $200 bill. If you're looking for the entertaining type of hibachi, this is not it.

I ordered takeout. I ordered the hibachi salmon. When I got home and opened the container the salmon filet looked like chicken but smelled like fish. I gave it a taste test and it was EXTREMELY salty.

It took forever to get seated. All the drinks we asked for were not served to us. Upon asking where they were they said they ran out. We never received the appetizers: salad & soup. When asked after the meal where they were they said they ran out. again, poor communication. Why do I have to ask where my item is? The rice was dry and I had to add extra soy sauce. None of the ginger sauce was provided, only yum yum. I asked for medium steak it was well done in some areas and medium rare in others. The only good thing was the shrimp. I will never return.

About the Smiths

Precovid yeah.. now not worth it. The customer service was horrible all around.. my chef had a sour face and closed mouth the entire time. He rushed the whole experience. I don't know why, they had one other table. Food quality wasbquickway. I guess its a one drink min. The waitress came with the togo boxes before they came and asked us if we need anything. They have a automatic tip of 14.95 for two people. But have the nerve to have a absent waitress/waiter staff. Should've stopped coming the last time. My waitress and another fought and the police shut down the resturant. Wont be back.

The worst customer service that I've ever experienced in my whole entire life. The food was repulsive I would normally give every restaurant a second chance this will not be extended to this restaurant.

Good hibachi but they no longer serve sushi so kinda defeats the purpose of going there.

Mixed review for Hanabi. We discovered this restaurant when we went to Party City. We were celebrating a family graduation from Howard University and decided to order dinner from this location. We called them and discovered it is still takeout only. We ordered and it was ready when promised. When we went to pick it up, it was dark and dreary like inside. There’s a person sitting next to a table behind a huge piece of plastic that you can’t really see thru. Everything else is packed up, chairs stacked, etc. I had received a text that the order was ready and pick up was quick and painless. We ordered hibachi chickens, hibachi chicken and shrimp, and filet and shrimp. No sushi. Each meal was a huge package in its own bag. It included salad, soup, the entrée with noodles and vegetables, and the rice in its own container. There were two YumYum sauces in each bag but no ginger sauce. Salad had a great dressing. Probably the best I’ve had at a Japanese steakhouse. It was different, still ginger, but good. The soup was also all broth, but very tasty and good. For the entrees, the steak and shrimp were okay. No complaints- not great, but edible and enjoyable enough. But the chicken was not good at all. It was cube-like and didn’t seem to be cooked on an actual grill. Out of the group of 7, nobody liked or finished their chicken. The vegetables also were not the typical grilled onions, zucchini, broccoli, etc. It was more like a steamed bag, from frozen, of only broccoli and carrots. The fried rice and noodles were also disappointing. Little flavor and only a little bit of egg mixed in the rice. Again, no onion or the usual love put into it- usually our family favorite at Japanese steakhouses. We have a family member who lives nearby so we had high hopes that this would be the new Japanese steakhouse in the area. Unfortunately in this take-out only service, the food was less than enjoyable and we would not return. I hope that maybe it’ll be better when the tables are open again and they’re cooking in front of you!

Surely a spot worth visiting, the food is great and well prepared, the prices are reasonable and it is regularly neat there. Keep up the good work.

Take out only right now but the food was great as usual.
