I never leave reviews but genuinely don’t want anyone to be disappointed like I was. I went to this place because I saw it was a new management/owner. Their grand re-opening made the place look great and my parents raved about the tacos. My husband and I were so excited to try it out but the first time we went it was full due to a private event. The second we went was a weekday so I’m not sure if they just weren’t operating as normal? Anyway, we show up and the workers were very nice. We sit down and the server asks if we’d like anything to drink , my husband asks for a Long Island and she had no clue what that was and said only what’s on the menu can be made . Never heard of that at any place but OKAY whatever. He ordered a Mojito and I a strawberry Margarita. Mine was more sugar than alcohol I should’ve just gotten juice. His tasted like actual toothpaste. We then ordered our app (crab pretzel) which wasn’t entirely bad but def tasted like the crab was off. Mind you the small plates you usually get at restaurants, these were paper…. PAPER . Might as well have ate at home … we go to order our food only to find out my burrito doesn’t come with a side. It’s a $15 burrito which at any other place you get a side…. And let me not get started on how loud the music was for the two tables they had there. Neither the server nor we could hear each other . Any question we asked about the menu she had no clue… I’ve worked in the restaurant business myself and have bs’d my way out of questions I didn’t gave an answer to but she wasn’t even trying . Overall this place has potential but it’s definitely more of a fast food vibe so don’t come with high hopes. That’s all.

Beer & Breeze @ the bar. It's not Florida, but it's as close as I can afford right now. Live right down the road and can't belive i've never been here. Service was down to earth, if a bit inexperienced, outdoor seating was clean and exactly what my weary bones needed. Definitely need to come back and try the food

Responding and lying when there is a clearly written contract is really NOT a good look.
I recently hosted a party at Bay View Sports Bar & Grill, and unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired.
I signed a contract for 50 guests from 1:30 – 5:30 pm. At around 5:15, the event coordinator, Alberto, pulled me aside and told me they would need to charge me extra because I supposedly had “more people than contracted.” I explained that I did not—and even offered to show him my guest list. He then changed his statement and said both he and the staff had counted 44 guests. I pointed out that our contract was for up to 50, so we were actually under the limit.
Instead of acknowledging this, he shifted to claim our time slot was only for four hours, implying we had gone over. But the contract clearly stated 1:30–5:30, and we were cleaned up and out by that time. At no point did he apologize for either of the accusations, which made the ending of our event unnecessarily stressful.
It also left me questioning whether we actually received what we paid for. If Alberto thought that I was only supposed to have 40 people, did they only prepare food for 40 instead of the 50 we paid for? To make matters worse, this was a cash bar—so even if we had gone over in guest count, the venue would’ve only stood to profit more, not lose anything, since no extra food was served and additional guests would have only been purchasing their own drinks.
Overall, the way this was handled felt unprofessional, unfriendly, and a bit shady. It’s a shame, because the space itself had potential—but the management’s attitude and lack of accountability left a bad impression.

Second time coming since it changed owners. Both times got the Sunday morning Buffet. Great service!! EXCELLENT FOOD. awesome atmosphere. Also really good price on the buffet. Going to try a night out at the bar, or a Sunday afternoon where they play live music! Also it's beautiful inside and outside!

This was our first time at Bay View Sports Bar & Grill, and wow—we were not disappointed! I had the crab cake platter with green beans and a fresh salad—perfectly seasoned and cooked. We also shared the steamed mussels in garlic, lemon, white wine, and butter, served with crispy bread that was both moist and golden. The Smith Island stew was rich, hearty, and full of flavor—everything we tried was superb!
We had the chance to speak with the owner, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Amanda, the bar manager, was an absolute gem—so knowledgeable about the restaurant’s history and the menu. She even went above and beyond to give us a flyer with all the weekly events!
My husband and I will definitely be back. As someone who’s a big advocate for great food and exceptional customer service, Bay View delivers on both fronts.

This is a place where you get to experience a little bit of everything, a bar with a pool table, a dining room, and an outside area with beachy vibes. The food—amazingly good and fresh, their burger is probably the best burger I've ever had. It's flavorful and juicy, and clearly homemade. And the service was also great, it was def worth the drive from VA. 10/10
THIS PLACE HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL BUT NEEDS HELP! When a party of 6 comes in and orders u shouldnt bring 2 ppl food and they finish before rest even have food that's ridiculous! Everyone should be eating together! Took over 20 mins to get a drink...Don't go there thirsty! Place is gorgeous but bet w the way things are run won't stay in business long :(

My husband and I stopped by Bay View Sport Bar and Grill for the first time and had a few drinks. My husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich and fries and I had the cream of crab soup. The food was delicious!! We met the owner Alberto and the bartender Jose. They were very friendly and the service was great! We will be going back!

The food was delicious! We both had soup - my husband had the cream of crab and said it was delightful! I had the Maryland crab soup, which was tomato based with big chunks of crab and veggies. It had a bit of a spicy kick, which i like. My husband had fried clam strips and loved them! I had the mini crab cakes and they had lots of crab and not a lot of filler. Delicious!
