Holiday thanksgiving pumpkin pies had too much spice. But turn overs not the same as years ago

A month ago, I picked up a black forest cake for my friend’s birthday. There was plenty to go around for about a dozen people and everyone thought it tasted great.

Brings back great childhood memories. Plenty of items to choose from.

I gave this store a 3 because they need some renovations. I understand of nostalgia and holding onto what made them famous, but a little renovation won't hurt. Besides the renovations, it did have an old building odor, which if you're new (like me) it's very off putting. The desserts were nice looking and rich, I got a slice rather slither of carrot and double chocolate cake, both for a total $8. I'll say if you like strawberry shortcake this is the place for you because they had a bunch of those lol. They had a case for italian cookies and other pastries like donut and danishes.

My husband’s favorite birthday cake is Herman’s Strawberry Shortcake. They use real strawberries, nut just a strawberry “gel” that other bakeries and grocery stores use. Plus, their marshmallow donuts are incredible.

I love their marshmallow donuts because they're the best, plus there's none around my way. And thing I love best is the apple crumb pie. It is so delicious, but sometimes they run out really fast so one or two or whatever. You'll love them

The marshmallow donuts are to die for. The pastries are very fresh and the Strawberry Shortcake was soooo good. However, the Marshmallow Donuts are the absolute best.
