Local spot that has been there forever. If you like desserts/treats and you are in B'More then don't waste money on the 'big box' stores and instead check this place out

I gave this store a 3 because they need some renovations. I understand of nostalgia and holding onto what made them famous, but a little renovation won't hurt. Besides the renovations, it did have an old building odor, which if you're new (like me) it's very off putting. The desserts were nice looking and rich, I got a slice rather slither of carrot and double chocolate cake, both for a total $8. I'll say if you like strawberry shortcake this is the place for...

My husband’s favorite birthday cake is Herman’s Strawberry Shortcake. They use real strawberries, nut just a strawberry “gel” that other bakeries and grocery stores use. Plus, their marshmallow donuts are incredible.
