Kind of a hidden gem at least when it comes to the torta I tried my first visit there. After walking in, it looks like a small cafeteria.Despite being literally located next door to the more popularly known La Placita and having to order my carryout through quite a narrow opening between their food prep counter and register in a corner, the breaded chicken torta for $6.31 is not only the best price but also best value. It's just as good as La Placita's $7 version but...
So the tripe taco was cool. I had braised porkchop taco too. The portion was great but I really missed the flavor from the meat. The sauce, onion and cilantro definitely brought everything I needed for a tasty lunch. I'd definitely go back for more, really interested in the spot.
