If you are seeking great food and service in a great atmosphere, you cannot go wrong at Hunter's Tavern.
The two of us enjoyed a very nice dinner at this Easton restaurant. The salmon and crab cake dishes were tasty and generous. Broiled crab cake had very little filler. We had a couple of beers from their good selection of draft beers and shared a large peach cobbler dessert topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Our server was friendly and attentive. He had a dry sense of humor, which we appreciated. We would definitely come back and would recommend to our family and friends.
Food was delicious and well prepared. Service was attentive. The restaurant was out of my favorite dessert, a huge disappointment. Crab cake dinner was very good value
We waited an hour and ten minutes for our food which was overcooked. The salmon was smothered with barbecue sauce, the filet mignon had a strange texture like it had been frozen and thawed too many times. The vegetables were mushy. It was loud inside. It's a shame because we had a great meal there 2 years ago.
Our waitress, Becky, went out of her way to accommodate and serve our group. Thank you Becky
The food was a true culinary delight. The wait staff is among the best I ever experienced. Charming atmosphere. The only negative is that they don't enforce their own dress code. I am sure "casual" does not include shorts, flip flops, collarless t-shirts, and shorts.
Service was amazing and very pleasant. You could tell people truly enjoyed working there. Food was good depending on what you got. Mahi-Mahi was fresh, tuna tartar was definitely different than I expected but good, but the NY strip lacked flavor but was very tender and cooked perfect to order. Enjoyable environment for a more quiet date night.
Wow! Our waitress went above and beyond my expectations. The food was excellent. I recommend this gem. I had crab soup & mussels with sweet potatoes. Love this restaurant.
My friends had the salmon salad and said it was just ok. I had the flat bread which was just ok and not hot enough. Our waitress Macie was lovely.... Looks like we will need to choose a new place for lunch. Second time for a mediocre lunch at expensive costs. Thanks
The Delmarva omelette was great. The burger, not on the brunch menu, was also good. However it was served dry and the condiments, which were served on the side, did not come out with the burger. The service, while friendly, was super slow. It took several minutes for a server to come to our table. Ironically, the folks at the next table, who were seated 5 minutes after we were, saw a server before we did.

Very friendly staff, though they should not talk about tipping even in casual conversation. Table was not entirely clean when we were sat. Soups were very good, stuffed artichoke could have benefitted from a bit more steaming to make it softer, though very tasty. Had the specials, soft shell crabs were delightful, though the Brussel sprouts were very very firm and despite the lovely bacon, had no flavor at all. The setting is just right, beautiful place. Servings were quite generous. I would perhaps go back and try desserts, since we were too full to give them a go.
We were guests at the hotel and after a long day, Hunters' Tavern was our choice. Observations: (1) This place is noisy. Hard surfaces everywhere, no sound absorption. A party in the back room (no door to cut the sound) just added to the racket, in particular when they started to break up and insisted on having loud conversations in the middle of the restaurant. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing evening meal, look somewhere else. (2) Food was OK but not great. Cream of crab soup was thin, needs to be creamier (although there were good chunks of crab at the bottom of the cup). Menu choices are limited. Positive: Several good Gluten-free options. Overall: Middle-of-the-road American hotel restaurant fare. (3) Clear Winner: Service. Our server was positive, bright, pleasant and did a great job. Surprised us by brining gluten-free rolls for wife, something which many (alleged) high-end restaurants don't do (I'm looking at you, Mortons). Nothing but "huge thank you" to our server for helping us out after a tough day (and a tougher week). Bottom line: Service is terrific, food is "OK", ambiance sucks. Your mileage may vary.
I had the beet salad which was okay and the shrimp which was good. I wouldn't say either was exceptional but certainly acceptably good. One of our party had the calamari and he's a calamari connoisseur. He said it was the best calamari he's ever had and, while I didn't taste it (because the portion wasn't overly generous and I didn't want to minimize his portion), it did look excellent. Overall the portions for all of our party were fair but not large. I'm an average sized man, I would say the portions were more sized for women. The service was terrific - our waitress was very nice and attentive. The ambience ( we ate indoors) was pleasant and the noise level was low on a Friday evening. Overall, I'd give the restaurant a "B" rating.
Lovely day and food was very nice. Becky was our server and she was totally delightful !! She made our lunch /visit to Easton wonderful .
The cream of crab soup was terrific. More crab than I've ever had in cream of crab soup ANYWHERE! Three of us selected the soup and we were all very pleasantly surprised. The rest of the lunch was very good as well but the soup was the star!
