Great food, especially the eggs Benedict which come in about 20 varieties. They always seem a little surprised when customers come in. Service is slow but I usually come there to kill time so never a problem. Staff are friendly. Great lighting and view of the airport.

Google helped me to find Sugar Buns, as an option for breakfast. It was quiet and comfy.

I wanted Lox Benedict but the Salmon was gone. My 2nd choice was the 4 Egg Omelet with the home fries.

The omelette was tiny … maybe 2 egg, instead of 4… and small enough that it came on a saucer. It looked burnt. The first bite confirmed it as burnt.

It wasn’t a neat or intact omelette, by far. They were out of home fries so I got grits. I thought they would substitute the home fries since they were out of the home fries. I got Grits but they still charged the full $25 for the omelette and another $4 for the grits.

I spoke with the waitress but she explained that’s how it is there. Not recommended.

Good location, good size, nice environment, and good service. A bit overpriced for me though. One should never have to pay almost $30.00 including a great tip for a turkey club sandwich and fries. By the way I had to upgrade in order to get fries from potato chips. Return to pre-Covid era pricing and maybe I’ll be back.

We waited 45 minutes for lunch, waitresses apologized new cook, we ordered the crabzila

Tiny crab cake (back fin not lump and looks like 3oz) lots of beacon and onion rings and old French fries cooked in old dirty reused too much oil that leaves an aftertaste.

Today was a very bad day for Sugar Buns Cafe. And for my husband and me. The lone waitress was slow though very sweet. The tables weren’t being bussed - and the food !!! … I had two scrambled eggs with cheese and the first bite tasted like mold. I took another bite and was convinced it was. I ordered Texas toast (twice because apparently she used invisible ink or something to write the order) and got white toast - the first and only bite of which tasted like rancid butter, a huge scoop of which was also floating on the extra crunchy grits. The ONLY redeeming thing on my plate was the ham. Add to that a $5 tea bag and a dozen grapes which made up the $4 “fruit cup” and you get an experience like no other. The waitress did take care of my meal which was appreciated. The icing on the cake (which we would not even try) were the filthy bathrooms with wet floors and seat. No charm to be found here and will NEVER return.

I love this place! The food was great and the service. Our waitress was a little quiet but I understand. I am a 8 year old and I LOVED the French toast.

Good diner food in an unexpected place. Definitely get the Sugar Buns - they are big enough to be shareable. Enjoy watching the planes takeoff and land. Nothing fancy but good.

This place is amazing. Best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever eaten. Not sure what it was, EB or the hollandaise sauce, but it was fantastic. For a breakfast stop on the way to OC or a place to eat in the area, just go. 5 stars!!
