Had lunch today at the "New" Pub, haven't eaten there since the new management. Limited sandwich menu which did not appeal went for Fish and Chips, NEVER again. Specifically asked for french fries, not the pub chips. Fish was terrible, poor batter, overcooked and probably some "flat fish" not cod. Came with the pub chips which are normally OK but wanted french fries. Compared to the previous Pub, beer menu was small, a tad expensive. I give the renovation a 7 but a basket of hand towels in the bathroom would be expected of a @bluepointhospitality restaurant. Also needs to work on ventilation. Place smells like steamed shrimp
Excellent service. Horrible food. Very salty and greasy. We ordered 4 sandwiches and all of them were over salted and super greasy. The chips were stale. I asked for old bay twice and never got it! The server was lovely and so were the server assistants. The kitchen was not on point, at all. Even though We will not be going back, I would suggest adding some pub pies to the menu.
