The food and the service was good. The person who was serving us was very helpful. I liked the asada fries more than the tacos.

Guac was delicious. Birria tacos were succulent. And the Mexican bowl was unbelievable. Lunch was better than expected. Will be back.

ordered takeout from Azteka in Edgewater yesterday as a Mother’s Day gift for my wife, and everything was amazing! She tried the carne asada and an extra order of grilled beef tongue—she absolutely loved the flavor. The seasoning was spot on, rich and authentic. We finished with the tres leches cake, which was simply fantastic.

The customer service was outstanding—very friendly, attentive, and respectful of my requests when placing the order. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy delicious, authentic Latin cuisine with top-notch service.

I’m making this post solely to express my dissatisfaction regarding the poor customer service and lack of empathy shown by some people.

Yesterday, I called a restaurant in Edgewater to order two KIDS CHEESEBURGER combos, which I went to pick up around 7:30 PM. When I got home and started eating them, I had the bad luck of finding that only the edges and the exterior part of the meat in both KIDS CHEESEBURGERS were properly cooked. As I kept taking more bites, the meat began to look pale, which I noticed but didn’t want to give too much importance to — however, it’s incredible how, as I kept chewing, the meat started appearing more and more raw and red inside.

Feeling quite embarrassed, I contacted the restaurant through their Facebook page and Messenger, explained the situation, and sent them photo evidence. Kindly, the manager asked me to call him, and when I did, the conversation flowed very calmly. I explained that I was sorry to have to bring it up, that their restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat — I’ve visited two of their locations and, even when ordering the same KIDS CHEESEBURGER or any other dish, I had never experienced anything like this before. The manager apologized and also mentioned that the level of doneness I encountered was usually intended for adult burgers, and that the KIDS burgers are typically cooked thoroughly. He said he would inform the kitchen staff about it. I told him I understood and didn’t argue. He was very kind and even offered to refund my money and give me something for free. I said that just getting my money back would be enough, and that he shouldn’t worry too much. He thanked me for addressing the issue privately and not escalating it publicly, and said he appreciated the feedback to help them improve (sadly, I am now making this post).

Today, I went to the restaurant to get my refund, and I was greeted by an adult woman (I’m not sure if she was the manager or just another employee), but her attitude was completely different from the person I spoke with yesterday. I kindly told her I was the person who had messaged through Messenger and that I was there for the refund arranged by the manager. She replied in a dismissive way, saying that THEY COOK THEIR BURGERS THAT WAY, AND THAT NEXT TIME I HAD TO SPECIFY IT WAS FOR A CHILD. I found this ridiculous, because when I made the call I specifically ordered TWO KIDS CHEESEBURGERS — it even says so explicitly on their menu. I didn’t think it was necessary to specify anything beyond that. She then proceeded to tell me she would give me the refund in cash because she didn’t know how to process a refund back to a card — which would’ve been perfectly fine, except that she didn’t even let me speak to explain that I had no issue with it. She simply handed me the cash in a rude manner, and I felt like she just wanted me to take the money and leave as fast as possible.

I said nothing more and left the place.

I don’t know if this adult woman was the manager or just another employee. If she was the latter, I would understand that she’s someone who doesn’t really care about the impression a customer might have of a place like this, and that’s why she behaves that way — because usually, a regular employee wouldn’t truly understand the effort and dedication that THE OWNER OR MANAGER of a business puts in to maintain it.
However, if this woman was the former, meaning another manager, then I would say they really need to have a conversation and agree on treating customers in a consistent manner, instead of making the other person look bad with a poor attitude. I assume that if she is also THE OWNER OR A MANAGER SHE SHOULD KNOW VERY WELL HOW MUCH EFFORT IT TAKES TO KEEP A BUSINESS RUNNING AND HOW IMPORTANT CUSTOMERS ARE FOR ITS SUCCESS

OMG always clean and the people are phenomenal. The owner works hard to provide a decent sized savory meal for his guests and lemme tell u, the shrimp tacos are so good, that's the only thing I ever get really. Blows my skirt up to have lunch there...the lady's are sweet, the food is tasty and the owner cares about his customers and their opinions. Highly recommend

Ended up in the area somewhat randomly and then at AZTK's for lunch on a whim. Food was delicious and the staff not only couldn't have been friendlier or more welcoming, but also any more helpful. One of our party had questions about the mole (Mexico snob) and had a long back and forth exchange with our waitress. We got a whole family tree history lesson and flavor profile breakdown.

Chips and salsa were so much tastier than they had any right to be, and the street corn, guac, and jamaica were spot on. Some of our orders of salsa had slightly larger pieces of tomato in them like others have noted, but nothing anywhere near as large.

Side notes:
- burritos come with fries. I didn't read the menu close enough, and was surprised. I'll probably get a different side order next time. Crunchy burrito with veggies, as a vegetarian, was great
- the menu descriptions for the surf and turf burrito and the breakfast burrito are a copy-paste mistake

Stopped in and had the AZTK Burger and it was absolutely delicious! My wife and I shared the burger, an empanada, chips and salsa and we were stuffed! Their salsa is homemade and has a nice kick and is full of flavor. They brought us a complimentary heart shaped churro for dessert. Service was top tier! We'll definitely be back to try their birria burger next time!
