Every other time I have gotten prepared food at a seafood market it was great. I drove 30 minutes out of my way based on the reviews of this place. Was surprised to find that they don’t have any tables inside or outside, despite having room for a few. But I went ahead and ordered anyway. I got a “basket “ with 5 fried shrimp and a large crab cake and fries. The staff was nice, and they prepared the food in a reasonable amount of time. I took it out and ate it in my van (as I was traveling). The shrimp and fries were just okay. The crab cake was mostly crab meat, and good sized. But somehow didn’t really taste good. I don’t know what was wrong. Maybe it wasn’t fresh, the oil it was cooked in needed changing? It definitely didn’t have any seasoning or good flavor at all. Very disappointing, and I threw most of it away. The crab cakes I got at the two restaurants I have been to since then were great, but not in this area.

I ordered the fish basket. It was fresh but not seasoned well at all. The fries didn't have one bit of salt on them. You have to add salt on them when they first come out of the fryer. The fish did taste better after I added old bay and salt.

Oh my goodness. Stopped at this place to find a Blackened Ahi tuna sandwich. The sandwich was spectacular..big hunk of extremely fresh Tuna cooked perfectly .The nice lady at the Front said we have “no competitors..” And Darn if she wasn’t right😳

$105 for 15 medium male crabs steamed unevenly. That's a record.
We made a very large order for a family of 6 . The person who took the call made a mistake or miscommunicated with the person making the food.
We asked for 1 dozen large crabs ( no seasoning ) They came seasoned , and they put a bag of seasoning on the side in the bag.
Second issue was we inquired about the oyster 🦪. On the menu it mentions them as shucked oysters. ( Assuming they would be RAW on the half shell, but somehow they got cooked , WHO COOKS OYSTERS that are shucked ?
The potatoes were cut like fries and the broccoli 🥦 was hammer ( aka over cooked )
Lastly we came in there and they told us that we had to get all the sauce extra , that the captains meal didn't come with anything .
Anyway we were frustrated to see this when we got back to the house with 5 bags of food .

This has become our go-to spot for live crabs and seafood on the way back from the beaches on this part of the western shore. Mostly heavy, tasty mediums were all the blue crabs that were left at 5 PM on a Saturday, but it was a summer miracle to find any at all. We’ve enjoyed their fresh fish and shellfish too, over the years, served by friendly, knowledge staff, along with frozen seafood to stow away for later. A true regional treasure, especially after the untimely demise of Annapolis Seafood.
