I have been waiting for a great pizza place to come to Edgewater and it’s finally here! I LOVE pizza, like could eat everyday love, and I’m so glad to have Spizzico nearby now. I’ve had the margarita and the bianca and both were so delicious, the ricotta on the bianca was unbelievable. Please never leave Spizzico.
We really wanted to love this restaurant. Its newly remodeled and very nice inside. The service and staff were top notch. But for us, the most important thing is the food. We tried the cheese raviolis, a cheese and mushroom pizza, and the penne with sausage. The food wasn’t terrible, it just wasn’t very good. The red sauce on all three dishes was bland and flavorless. The pizza crust was cardboard-ish and did not taste freshly made. The ravioli was overcooked and again, flavorless....
My wife and I had their lunch special of spaghetti and meatballs, salad and a drink for $8. The portion size was just right, the ceasar salad was one of the best both of us have had locally. The pasta and sause were really good. It is a very casual place but the staff was very friendly and attentive. We certainly will go back and try other items on their extensive menu.
