Delicious blue crab platter and friendly and quick service
We took our grandson out for Crabs as he was visiting from New Hampshire and hit our local crab place. The service couldn’t have been any better and the Crabs were awesome! We got large and they were heavy and cooked perfectly. My husband had catfish and a salad, we shared hush puppies and everything was delicious! very friendly and laid-back atmosphere. We will be back!
They pick up the phone.
Very interesting. I took take out and its yummy, Rockfish tenders. Had never been here before. The two gentlemen there were very friendly, and kind.
Went to Crab Shack today looking to enjoy some crabs and was highly disappointed. We ordered all-u-can eat crabs…. $60 a person. The corn on the cob, fries and hush puppies were ok. However, the crabs were not!! They had a funny smell to them that I can’t really describe and the meat was a consistency of being frozen and then warmed up….i.e., dry and stringy. They were also bland and had no flavor. We bought it to the managers attention because this wasn’t the first time we’ve bought this to his attention but he apologized the first time so we gave them another chance and it was an another DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who likes good tasting crabs!!
This was our first time at the crab shack and we will definitely be going back! It’s family friendly with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is great and the crushes are amazing! The employees were all friendly and attentive. We love having a local place to go with the family that is affordable!
I got the 8 oz Crab Cake sandwich and french fries. The sandwich was eaten over a two day period. Very delicious 😋
Nothing special about the atmosphere but it is always clean and the staff are friendly
I'm very upset I ordered two lobster roll platters that had no taste other then a fishy taste and mushy not happy at all
Oh God if I could give this place no stars I would. My food was horrible after my time got pushed back 3x for my delivery my food was cold, fish was soggy unseasoned, some fries was hard some was soggy, they sent me the wrong chicken which was also cold and unseasoned. When I say I will NEVER order from here again. High as my food was it was late, unseasoned, sent me plain wings instead of Old Bay and on top of that blue cheese when I clearly asked for ranch. A waste of $45 🙄

This is a classic "order at the counter and then enjoy yourself" place to eat. My party ordered and took a table. The Crabs were the best we've ever eaten and the rack of ribs and brisket was also fabulous!! We had a great time talking and laughing and sharing good food. It felt like a BBQ in our own backyard.
The staff was friendly and efficient. We had a great time we WILL be back!!
Parking: There is ample parking. We would also recommend all the BBQ menu items not listed on this review.

I got all you can eat crabs they never asked me once if I wanted more. They never once checked on us. The water tasted like metal. You have to serve yourself everything practically. Not for customers if you wanna relaxing night out. We had to get up multiple times to get our own napkins utensils butter etc. if you wanna wait yourself come here. Customer service is terrible. My husband got the crab dip it was all cream cheese. No lumps of meat at all.

I can’t tell you how absolutely disappointed my wife and I were with the food at Crab Shack Edgewater. We went for Buck A Wing Night and hated every single dish we ordered, accept the onion rings, which were actually very good. The wing meat was dry. The Cream of Crab Soup and New England Clam Chowder were both awful (so bad, we didn’t eat more than a few spoonfuls out of guilt for wasting our money on them.)
The Crab Dip on the Boardwalk Fries was a mostly solid mass of melted cheese than covered a thin layer of something that identified as crab dip in name only. (The fries by themselves might be good, but the “dip” had to be cut with a knife and fork.) Their Fried Clam Strips were made with over salted batter and were over cooked and gritty with sand. Their Steamed Clam Soft Shell Clams were filled with sand and mushy in a bad way. Throughout our meal, we never found an actual lump of crab meat — only a smattering of what might be crab meat or might be some other fish-based protein. We both agreed we’d never go back (unless we really wanted some good onion rings.)
The people that work there are nice and they get you your food as it becomes available. The atmosphere is probably great for tourists looking for that “crab house” feel with bright colored lights framing the view of the parking lot (not the waterfront, which is probably 3/4 of a mile away.)
They claim to have the “Best Crabcake,” if it’s anything like the rest of their “highly rated” food, I find that claim as hard to believe.
Parking: This place used to be a Burger King. They have typical fast food joint parking along either side and a few spaces near the road.
