I was just treated to crabs from Captain Dan's, as someone who has grown up in Baltimore and has been eating crabs for 40 years, I am very particular about my crabs, and these did not disappoint; the crabs were seasoned well, tasty, great size and even though we are not close to the location, they were packaged so well for take out that when we received them, they were still piping hot! I would 100% get crabs from Captain Dan's again!

Whale Sammich was perfect. Medium crabs were full. Not a bad one in the bunch. MD crab soup cane out piping hot and with just enough spice. Mozzarella sticks were great too. Fast and friendly service.

I had Dan's platter with the broiled option. Everything was well-seasoned, with no excess salt, which I appreciated. The onion rings and baked potato were good, though I wish there had been a bit more of the onion rings. My husband had the Imperial Crab Platter and enjoyed it. However, I wasn’t a fan of the sauce mixed with the jumbo lump crab meat, as it had a taste of crab guts. The steamed shrimp was excellent—not overcooked and not salty. It’s a bit pricey, but we’ll definitely come back.
