I called yesterday morning, to find out if you had any extra large crabs, I was told by the young lady, you only had six, she ask how many I was looking for, I told her 3 dozen, she told me the truck wouldn't be in until 5 pm, so she told me to call back then, I ask if I could pre order, she told me no that you don't do that, due to you never know if you will be getting them in. She was a little abrupt, cause I think I was taking to long, I really was trying to do a head count to see how many crabs I would really need, since they are really expensive, so I told her I would call back, the more and more I thought about it, I thought letbmebcall and ask to speak to the owner, so i did, i spoke to Mike, he did assure me that she said everything correctly, but he also said yes he agreed with me she was abrupt, that he would talk to her, I explained to him that I diffently was not trying to get her in trouble in any way, he assured me that she wouldn't, he did thank me for contacting him directly to let him know that I had that issue, so I explained to him my husband's birthday was yesterday, and i would be having a few people over to celebrate with us, so he told me he did have 3 doz of the extra large, he could have ready in 20 minutes, plus he assured me he would hand pick them himself, so I went and got the crabs, the young lady was very nice and explained that it would be a few minutes, so the young man started bagging them and the two of them worked very well together, the young lady offered to walk them out to my car, but the young man said he would carry them out for me, which was very nice of him, Mike, these two employees are diffently keepers, I can tell they take pride in their job. I hope the two employees who were there yesterday when I picked up the crabs, will get some recognition for their help.Mike, I personally want to shout out to you also, for helping make my husband's birthday a great one, we definitely enjoyed the crabs, they were the best, we look forward to contacting you this later year for more crabs. As I told you yesterday we have never got a bad Crab from Captain Dan's, we will be spreading the Captain Dan's name, (even tho we want to keep it to ourselves, lol). The crabs were great, I ordered a dozen and a half of large they were a nice size heavy with a lot of meat. They didn't disappoint me. I will be back next weekend.
Used to get Crab cakes to go uncooked. They use to be really good. Nice lump crab. Went today got 2 . 80% filler. Disappointed. No more.

Will never go to this place again. You can spend money on steam crabs but 9pm comes you receive a bag for your crabs. Our crabs came at 8:20pm. We were looking for a new place to go. This place is off the list.

We had great conversation with her and she was extremely personable. She should get employee of the month and a raise - and no, we are not related. I typical dive where you often find the best authentic food.Although they know how to cook shrimp, they don't know how to prep them.Sorry, no matter how well you cook and season the shrimp, the fact they are not deveined ruins the experience. A thick line of crunchy shrimp poop is a no starter. No thanks.

The Maryland Crab Soup was delicious. For my entree, I ordered a half of pound of steamed shrimp. I had no issues with the size of the shrimp, but they were not deviened and extremely hard to peal. My wife had a shrimp salad sandwich and
Would get the crab dip again. That was good. Imperial and crab cake were not good. No lump in the cake. Fried Shrimps were no good either. Too rubbery. I would try steamed crabs. Nothing was bad, just not great.

I bought two soft shell crabs. Not knowing they were females, assuming males (as usual) they were not cleaned, which I did. Not really a deal breaker. However, the soft shell meat (which I have made many times) was soft, powder consistency, gross. Had to throw away. Won't purchase those again without asking sex of crab and how long those suckers have been frozen.Otherwise place was clean, workers right there to fill order
