Lechonera DMV is a hidden gem for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine! The lechón was perfectly seasoned and tender, with crispy skin that’s full of flavor. The arroz con gandules was spot-on, and the portions were generous. You can tell everything is made with love and tradition. The staff was warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. If you’re craving true Puerto Rican comfort food, this spot is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back! 10/10

Extremely disappointed, I’m puertorican and this is the worst puertorican food I’ve had. The food had a salt but no sazón, no garlic. The way they give flavor to the food is all salt. Is also extremely. Please save $$$ and your time and don’t come here.

Delicious & authentic Puerto Rican food!! My father was in town visiting from Washington state and was craving boriqua food, and we found this place via Google. We pre-ordered a family platter with roasted pork, potato salad, arroz con gandules, tres leches & took pasteles to go.
All of it was SO GOOD!! My father said it tasted exactly like if he were at home 🥹. The pork was flavorful and the owner brought us 2 authentic hot sauces which were a great addition. The tres leches cake was incredible 🤤! My dad said the pasteles were ok, not as moist as he wanted, but I thought they were fantastic lol. Heads up that someone else makes the pasteles (not the owner) & they’re given to you frozen (we made them at home).
There are a few tables with seating & shade which is where we sat. The owner was so kind to chat with us, serve us & make us feel super cared for! 😭 It was also cool to see the roasted pigs as they open up the cart from time to time.

Let me tell you, my recent experience with Lechónera DMV was nothing short of spectacular! Their lechón was, as expected, absolutely divine. Tender, juicy, with that incredible authentic flavor and perfectly crispy skin – it's the real deal. And yes, their limber was a delightful surprise the kids loved it!
However, while everything was fantastic, the arroz con gandules truly stole the show for me. The gandules were tender, and the sofrito was clearly made with love. It was the kind of arroz con gandules that takes you right back to abuela's kitchen – simply unforgettable.
And let's not forget the guineitos! They were so tasty – perfectly cooked, with a wonderful texture and subtle sweetness that complemented the other dishes beautifully. It was clear that every element of the meal was prepared with care and attention to detail.
Beyond the incredible food, the service was warm and welcoming. You can feel the passion they have for their cuisine.
If you're anywhere in the DMV area and craving authentic Puerto Rican flavors, Lechónera DMV is an absolute must-try. Very limited options for Puerto Rican food in Springfield, VA. So I was looking forward to trying this highly rated Puerto Rican food truck. It was a huge disappointment the quality of the pork is subpar. Most of the pork that was included in the plate was cartilage not appetizing at all and a bit gross. The rice was highly salted. The plantain salsa was rough not completely ripened plantains were used. I really wanted to like it. I’ve been following them on instagram for a year. Back to the drawing board on finding decent Puerto Rican food in the DMV.

We got catering from Lechonera DMV for an event at my office. Let me tell you everyone was raving about the food, got seconds and wanted some to go!!lt was amazing! l'm from Puerto Rico and this just put me back on the island. I took some leftovers Guineitos to a friend and she went over within the week to checkout the foodtruck herself and try the rest of their offering with her family, Richard delivered the food himself and had everything labeled and packed very neatly. We got Lechón con Cuerito, Pavochón, Arroz con Gandules, Guineítos, and of course Tres Leches!!! Let me tell you I have tried plenty of tres leches in my life but there's is ANOTHER LEVEL of good! l'm drooling just writing this post. Go get you some! Highly recommend!!!
