Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Disappointing experience and I felt bad for the young lady who served us. My family and I went in an hour before closing, it was pretty busy and more patrons were coming in. One young lady, i think her name was Andy, was the only one serving and helping customers while the other employee was busy shutting off the machines and dumping ice out limiting our choices. Andy tried to get her to stop and have her help at the front but was completely ignored. Andy was great but the other young employee completely lack customer service skills. Having had experience in the food industry, you do not neglect customers to start closing shop well before closing hour!

I’ve always liked Rita’s, but this location was a big disappointment. My friends and I walked in at 9:45 (they close at 10), and they told us they weren’t serving ice anymore — only custard. The thing is, there was clearly still plenty of ice in the containers, just with lids on them. If you’re open until 10, you should be serving your full menu until 10. We felt rushed and unwelcome. Won’t be coming back to this location.

I have always enjoyed visiting this Rita’s location and usually leave happy — but tonight was an absolute disappointment. We walked in at 9:45 PM, well before the posted closing time, only to be told they would not serve us Italian ice. This was especially frustrating because we could clearly see the tubs of ice out and ready.

If the store is open, customers should be served. Closing early without explanation — and while product is visibly available — is unacceptable and shows a complete disregard for loyal customers. It’s one thing to run out of a flavor, it’s another to refuse service entirely while still “open.”

I hope management addresses this issue, because right now, it’s hard to want to return after being treated like this.

I went in to get sugar-free ice and they didn’t have any. I went last year and the same thing happened. They have so many regular flavors and don’t even have sugar-free. I don’t understand and I refuse to come back to this location.

This place is great and has gotten better. Yeah, parking is not ideal but we've never had a problem. Shout out to Gavin for being awesome every time!

Not a good experience. Hard to get to and the parking lot is very dangerous. Almost got backed into twice. Very crowded. Workers were very friendly but the place was understaffed so not their fault. $12.50 for a small custard and small Gelati?? Not worth it

I called and placed a special order. The young man that answered was very helpful. I then ordered from another location that was closer to me and was not happy with the product. I called Tye back to see about ordering and he was very helpful and I was able to place a new order. He went above and beyond with his customer service approach. Thanks Tye!!
