We either eat in or take out at least 4xs a month. I love the food and the quality and the store part. Please have your servers pre bus. That is my biggest pet peave. Some of our food was at one time some we had to keep asking for it. We wanted his salad 1st she did bring it and then the food within 30 seconds. Had to keep asking for an extra plate. She was a young girl and new. Totally understandable. I still get the similar issue with the seasoned servers. Please please pre bus. Every table around us had all dinner and DESSERTs plated still on table and guests were gone.

They need to change the menu. It's DUMPLINS AND CHICKEN not chicken and dumplins.
Very tasty nevertheless. Very good service.
Party of 8 adults 3 kids on 03/30/25 about 11:30 am. Hostess that assigned our seats was great. I will note it was pretty busy but that's is usually the norm on a Sunday late morning.
The WAITRESS ( she had on a red BRENDA apron) Seemed like she was annoyed no smile no greeting just very stale to all of us. She burned me with the coffee while pouring it. While she was pouring the coffee to refill my cup she raised the pot as she was still pouring the coffee and it splattered on my hands. Very amateur, that was below the basic service standard. How do you not realize you burned a person and walk away like nothing. Just awful service from BRENDA. She should be a host at best. Definitely not a person i would have servings my customers if that was my store. Biscuits were under cooked pancakes were stuck on the plate seemed to be burned on the plate. I visit the Pennsylvania lancaster cracker barrel and i can say that it's a big difference in the chefs and service. The food in the PA location is prepared with care. They would never serve a dish that's not to the CB standard.
I personally will never go to this cracker barrel location or recommend it to anyone.
Pen to paper to the corporate division.
Chef or chefs needs more training.
Waitres needs a demotion to cashier or host.

Told by server they were backed up in the kitchen and food would take a while. Server brought us cold, half frozen biscuits which were not able to be eaten. Returned them to server. Manager brought over hot biscuits a few minutes later. Waited about 1/2 hour for our food. When delivered to the table, server said ‘she did not like the looks of the French fries’ so they were remaking them. After we were half done our dinner, the hot French fries finally arrived. Food was good but wait time was unacceptable.

This place needs to close. Waited over an hour to get our food. Place was not busy but it took forever for our food to be served. Food was cold and no apologies for the long wait. This is the third time that we’ve had the same experience. No more! Close it before it ruins Cracker Barrel’s good name!

The server seemed to be overburdened and the food took over half an hour to get to us. This has been a reoccurring theme at the Elkton Cracker Barrel. It hasn't been the same since Covid. The wait time to get seated reflects the downward trend. Wait times used to be upwards of 20 minutes. Now there is no wait time.

Usually I have a great experience here but my fries were still kinda raw , and our gravy was not hot , service was kinda crappy to . It used to be better . We also didn’t get a bowl of gravy like we asked .
Love the Cracker Barrel Store! So fun. Unique items. Good quality. I appreciated the Hospitality. Best Chicken n Dumplings!
