First time here, but certainly won’t be the last. The beer was cold, the food was amazing, but what really stuck out was the service. Best we’ve ever had. I wish I remembered her name. Middle aged lady, black hair, no-nonsense type attitude. Fantastic all around.

~We arrived at 4:40 PM on a Sunday and the restaurant had approximately 8 other guests already seated & dining. The hostess had a stone face and the personality of a Rattlesnake. The New England clam chowder was like drinking salt water even though I salt 🧂 The Tuscan chicken with creamed spinach again was inedible related to the salt content in the spinach. It also took 90 minutes to get our dinner. I ordered Nachos Grande and they were Nachos GROSSLY! The cheese seemed like it was melted and put into a squeeze bottle and dumped on the nachos., what little bit of ground burger there was on it was like chewing on pop rocks or bacon bits and just were disgusting. This was a great waste of money that could’ve been given to someone in need. We could have eliminated elevated blood pressure, from basically eating Salt licks that you put into your horses stalls! Will not be returning ever again. The hostess did nothing but shrugged her shoulders when we verbalized how our dining was. Also don’t use the ladies room when you’re there, there were more flies in the bathroom then there is in the barn!
Food was delicious, staff was fun and friendly and the beer was cold!
We’ve been to Wesley’s several times over the last few years and have never had a bad meal or experience. The seafood buffet is always a treat and the daily specials are usually quite good. Prices are decent well. Show up with a positive attitude and I think you’ll be rewarded in kind.
I really wanted to like this place. We stopped here after going to Christiana. My grandmother got the soup of the day chicken noodle soup, it had no noodles and was so salty. It seemed like they took a leftover vegetable soup and added in dry chicken. The crab bisque was gross. Came out cold, I had to ask her to heat it up. It was thick and flavorless, no crab meat in it. For $6 it would’ve been a steal if it was good. Tasted like they squeezed it out of a bag I got the fish and chips because I saw them on the website, they looked delicious and hand battered. What I was served was comical. Definitely frozen fish sticks, no flavor at all. Very different from the menu photo. A waste of $45, would’ve gotten better food at McDonald’s. Reminded me of a sad diner.

Place was chosen due to proximity of where my boys live, in Elkton. Seemed like decent reviews and the establishment has been there for years. Had to be some good reason, so we thought.
After an 1.5 hour drive, get the boys for an early evening Fathers Day Dinner, we arrive. First impression was not the best upon entering their very dark entrance with a very steep incline/ramp on a dark carpet. Several places on the side of this ramp to break your ankle or cause an elderly to fall or hurt an adventurous child.
Slight wait, wasn’t real busy in the dining area. Actually had to be guided by a drunkard at the bar to show us how to get into the dining area. Nice fella, just another horrible intro for the place.
Took over 20 minutes to get our drinks and food ordered, even with 2 waitresses and a hostess helping on occasion as we observed. Again, not that crowded at all.
I specifically chose this place due to them having a Seafood Jambalaya. I asked if this was made fresh daily, waitress said it’s made to order. (Should have packed up right then, ain’t no way Jambalaya can be made that fast, but maybe they had an impressive chef in there)
The Jambalaya sauce had zero spice, like Spaghetti Os sauce, rubbery shrimp and the blandest andouille sausage ever served with par cooked rice. Fish and chips were horrible as well. Same with the half chicken which cost $25. Seriously these two dishes were broken out of a hungry man dinner pack.
50 minutes in, we get our food and could not believe the crap brought to our table. I’ve had better meals in jail and from Hungry Man dinners. In fact, they must buy from the same places they do and somehow make it worse!
So, save yourself a trip for dinner, just go to McDonalds where that level of expectation is what you can count on every time. Poor service and a crap meal, and save yourself some money too!
Father's day 2025:
The food my dad ordered was atrocious and they were so slow with bringing the check and refills. It was packed, but not packed enough to warrant the extremely poor service.
Roasted oysters and fish and chips were 🔥 and you can't beat the prices.
Food is great! Great service! Jeff introduced himself to me at a recent buffet and asked me to be careful since I do not wear shoes. Class act. Thanks! My friends and I will come again.

Disappointed. No Prime Rib, No Crab Soup, Steak as thin as a thin pork chop with no taste. Haven't been here in a long time and will probably be a long long time before I ever come back.

I used to work here before moving to New Mexico. It’s been a long time but do miss it. Feeling nostalgic today and am happy to see they are still in operation. Wish I had their Italian wedding soup recipe ??
Disappointed, garlic Parmesan wings were dry and no sauce on them, cheese on the pizza had an odd texture, but the pizza dough was delicious. Buffalo chicken pizza had dry pieces of chicken.
