One of my absolute favorite spots in Harford County, this place never misses. Whether it’s brunch, lunch, or dinner, the experience is always top notch. The space strikes that perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. Warm lighting, stylish design, and a great energy without ever feeling too loud or crowded.
The food is consistently excellent. Every dish feels thoughtful, well-executed, and fresh. We’ve come for dinner many times and have also really enjoyed their brunch and lunch menus. especially the bacon board, which is always a hit. It’s simple but somehow perfect every time.
And the cocktails? Easily some of the best in the area. My go-to is their espresso martini, it’s perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and always smooth. The bartenders know their craft and are great at recommending something new if you’re in the mood to mix it up.
Don’t forget to check out their happy hour or one of the weekly specials, like whiskey pairing night. They put real thought into the experience, and it shows.
Whether it’s a casual lunch, a date night, or drinks with friends, this is a go-to spot that always delivers. One of those rare places that’s good every single time.

Natalie is awesome!! She is very attentive and friendly and her recommendations are great. The vibe overall is a place that makes you feel like family. The food is delicious and drinks are amazing. If you are not a fan of olives or pepper stay away from the Brine and Dine. They change their menu every 3 months which allows you to experience variations of local food and drinks. Overall 5 out of 5.

Hoping this is a better done in experience. We did to go. Fries were soggy. To go packages crush the burger bun and chicken sando bun. Burger was dry. Plenty of ways to improve. Crab cakes and sauce were solid.

I just have to share the fantastic experience we had tonight. My husband and I went to The Local around 6:30 pm (prime time without reservations lol). The only available seats were a high top table in the bar area. They asked us if that was ok and we said “sure”. Within a minute or so after being seated, it became apparent that our vision of a nice relaxing dinner would be impossible in that room. The Preakness was about to begin, and that bar was loud and hopping! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I love to see people enjoying themselves. It was a party, but just wasn’t our vibe tonight. We decided we would go elsewhere. We politely informed the hostess that we were going to leave because it was just a tad too noisy, but that we would definitely return again soon. We stressed that we were not mad, or upset. As we were walking to our car, a very nice gentleman followed us out and asked if we would consider returning if they could sit us elsewhere. We said “Of course!” We didn’t think there were any other available tables, but he said they would work something out for us. We told him we didn’t expect them to go out of their way for us and that we could wait. Within five minutes, we were seated at a lovely table in the dining room. We later learned the gentleman that helped us was none other than the owner/ executive chef Zack. We went on to have a delicious dinner with the most attentive and charming server. They demonstrated exemplary customer service, which sadly is lacking in many other establishments. We weren’t expecting any special treatment, but they certainly went above and beyond for us, and it was very much appreciated! When we were leaving, Zack happened to be outside, so he made sure to ask how our experience was. We told him it was amazing, and that his restaurant has been one of our favorites since it opened. We told him we would be back soon. Our experience there tonight is just one of many examples why this restaurant stands out, and why we will always highly recommend them! Thank you all so much for proving customer service is not a dying art!

I came to this establishment tonight with my parents, with high hopes of a good meal, a nice drink, great atmosphere and friendly service. The food was to die for, the drinks were delicious, the atmosphere was amazing and the service, friendliest so far. All of our hopes were met… it was truely an amazing dining experience and I would recommend to anyone, even an enemy! My parents are all about trying different places every night, they said “why don’t we come back here tomorrow night”

Went for lunch today for the first time. Sat at high top in bar area. The atmosphere is great. Classy but slightly industrial which makes a great mix. Collin & Bridget waited on us and they were very attentive and we waited for nothing! Top tier service! Will definitely return soon.

Meals are pricier than your average restaurant -which makes sense since they go above and beyond compared to your average restaurant - but everything from the service, food and drinks to the overall atmosphere is absolutely positively worth every penny! Highly recommend The Local.
