No only are they a ripoff, they also ask for a tip then apply have a surcharge to pay with a card. We decided to leave and aren’t interested in eating there.

I really wanted to love this spot - local, BBQ, and nearby. Unfortunately, I can't say it's worth it.

First, the prices are outrageous. I paid a $3 surcharge for using a credit card. I won't list the prices for everything I purchased, but it was very expensive for a gas station BBQ joint. In fact, very expensive if it were a restaurant.

Second, the staff was unavailable both times I went in. No one was around for questions about the food or when I went to checkout.

And finally, I absolutely love that many of the items in the store are local. However, I bought some chips from Gaithersburg and they were all burnt. No kidding - a family size bag. Local products are great, but it's not capitalism to support an inferior product.

I recommend trying it out. Just start small so you know what you're getting for the cost. My experience was small portions, I felt nickel and dimed, and underserved.

Great variety of sauces. The cornbread is amazing. Definitely check out the dessert selections too we got oreo cheesecake and the honey graham ice cream and it was top notch.

OH MY FREAKIN GOODNESS! This place has THE best food! We are only in the area a few times a year, but we order an unbelievable amount of food. The burnt ends are amazing. We had the nachos with burnt ends. I'm telling you they are on a level all by themselves! The breakfast bagel is an entire meal. Great great place!!! Love it!

Outstanding BBQ joint and the food is excellent , staff is great and the place is very clean! On Monday the burgers are half price and they're the best in Carroll County, the breakfast sandwiches are delish and will fill you up to where you might need a nap! Also got to check out the candied bacon, it's actually addictive, check this place out!

I stumbled upon this place after selling a few of my TMNT collectibles in Eldersburg, MD & I tell u what this place has amazing good everything fresh from there brisket chili to there pit beef with fries & gravy as well as there steak & cheese definitely worth checking out if your in the area !!!

1st time for me here. Did a large to go order. You place your own orders at a kisok. I had trouble finding an item and asked the guy behind the counter how to find it. He kind of blew me off. Wasn't helpful at all. I had the pit beef sandwich and fries, and it was very good. They also have these huge pretzels that are awesome. It's definitely a place I will eat at again when I am in Marriottsville.

Ordered pit ham sandwich, ham was dry, pit turkey asked for sliced received big hunks of turkey, pulled pork ordered with slaw on sandwich did not receive, French fries were not cooked all the way, yet they were extremely dark and very greasy.
Roll for pulled pork was sopping wet when got home, couldn't eat the roll.
The cornbread was really good, we enjoyed that but everything else was not good at all and spent a lot of money for food that was not eaten.

One of the best briskets I’ve ever eaten!

Stopped in to get gas. Wish we just hadn't eaten brunch because it smelled delicious in there! Nice people and service getting some drinks.

Food is great, but young boy working didn't give me the correct change and essentially took $10. Tried calling back and no one answered. I get mistakes happen - hope that kid needed the $10 :(
