We found Flannery's online in the late afternoon and there didn't seem to be many other choices in the area.
It was a highlight of the work trip.
Delicious food that is made with fresh ingredients and great flavors. Setting was festive and a great contrast to typical chains and staff was super. Inside and outside seating. Lots of tables and parking in front might take 2 passes but so worth it.

So happy to find this gem of a place that serves incredibly authentic and delicious New Orleans cuisine! The gumbo, jambalaya, and shrimp po boy sandwich were absolutely amazing and perfectly seasoned! Every bite is a delight and has excellent quality ingredients! I'd definitely go back for more.

Well, I wish that I could post a better review. I was so excited when Flannery's opened back up in Fruitland. We ate at the Flannery's in downtown Salisbury every Wednesday night for years when it was open there. Although, it is a 45 minute drive from home, I stopped there 2 weeks ago to get take-out dinners for my husband and myself. We ordered the large catfish platter and the rockfish platter. I was very surprised how light the containers were when I took them to my car, but, when I got home, I was amazed to see that the segments of each container were filled less than half way. The fried okra had 5 small pieces and the rice was completely flavorless, not even a bit of salt to make it savory. My husband's meal was the same. The rockfish supposedly had been cooked with white wine and lemon, but neither flavor was present. In addition, the fish filet was extremely small. For $40.00 plus tax, it was definitely over-priced. I was just surprised that the food could be so lacking in flavor and also that the portions could be so minimal. We were very disappointed.
Stewart and staff are always fantastic. The food is out of this world, the environment is fantastic. I love eating here.
BRO. I haven't even EATEN here yet and I want to hug whomever put the menu together!
Stay tuned!
4/10 - had the chili and the jambalaya, enjoyed both very much and looking forward to coming back for a burger based on Will's recommendations. Great customer service!
My favorites are the sweet potatoes biscuits, the chili and the Reuben. And the company of Friendly Friday!

This is the best place on the shore for great Cajun-Creole food. Never disappoints and if you haven't tried it you won't be let down!
I stopped in to get my husband the oyster fritter platter. Absolutely amazing! He said it was cooked beautifully, and the oysters were a great size. The fritter was hands down the best he's had. The seasoning was spot-on and brought out the natural sweetness of the oysters. Whether you are a local or just passing through, this place is a must-visit!!

I’ve never had a burger so amazing that it brought me to tears—until today! From the warm hospitality and great music to the authentic New Orleans dishes, everything was perfect. To top it off, I had the pleasure of meeting the chef and his family!
I’m sure everything on the menu is excellent, but I had an amazing Blackened Creole Burger, Gumbo Yaya, and couldn’t resist finishing with the homemade bread pudding for dessert. This place is truly a hidden gem. If you're visiting, make sure to stop by, and if you live nearby, you’re incredibly lucky!

Stumbled upon this restaurant on our way home from Salisbury. Based on the reviews, it seemed like I can’t miss. Chef Stewart greeted us and welcome us in, he could not have been more pleasant and his enthusiasm for food was amazing. It did catch us by surprise, but he was working out of a food truck as his kitchen. He took the time to explain how the menu has a NOLA flare and how the food truck is part of his business. Inside felt cozy and like old Home week. As for the food, the onion rings were amazing, the andouille sausage was delicious, the corned beef Rueben yummy, Gumbo on point and to finish it off the Pumpkin Marshmallow bread pudding was delicious as well. Prices were reasonable, the only thing that didn’t meet our expectations were the “beignets”, very small and more like puff pastry and overpriced for the portion. But, all in all, we are already planning on what we will get next time.
