Jim Hughes is an amazing cook that offers exquisite food at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a quality dining experience from a trained professional.

My husband and I made reservations here for our wedding anniversary last weekend. We were very excited as we had heard great things about this restaurant and knew it would be the perfect place to celebrate. So, we made a reservation and got all dressed up. When we got to the restaurant, we were shocked to see that there was no one there. No servers, no customers, no chefs. It was during their hours of operation and we had a reservation! The lights were on, the tables were set

Came in with my girlfriend a few nights ago and was impressed to see a fine dine restaurant like this in Salisbury. The service was pretty slow (must have been an off night or something) and there was no liquor license hence only 4 stars. However, I'm willing to give it another shot later on this month. Our server was great and the food was excellent. Pretty excited to go back.

I made a reservation for my boyfriend's 26th bday here. The atmosphere was lovely; white tablecloths and Frank Sonatra playing all night. The only thing that was missing were candles, would have been a nice touch.

Worst meal ever. No liquor license when wine was supposed to be included. There was dog p*** on the floor next to our table!!!!! No apologies for that. They told us we couldn't order oysters because they were bad. They served cream of no crab soup that was so salty none of us could eat it. The filet steak was old so you couldn't tell if it was rare because the meat was old and had turned gray!!!! The potatoes were the only thing I was able to eat. My stomach hurts now that I'm home and I pray I don't have food poisoning. This place should be closed. Also they didn't reduce the check. This cost $100.

The food is phenomenal, you just don't get this level of sophistication in Salisbury...a gem on the shore

We had great service from Matt and a delicious meal prepared by Chef Jim! The cream of crab soup & scallops with lobster risotto were outstanding!

We recently dined at Restaurant 213 in Fruitland, MD, which is a small town south of Salisbury. The two occasions were New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day. Each occasion had a special menu with a limited selection. Chef/Owner Jim Hughes outdid himself on both. Other times we have eaten at 213, which were not special occasions have also been excellent dining experiences. A friend recently asked me for my favorite Ocean City, MD, restaurant. Despite the fact that it's a 40 minute drive from our place in OC to the restaurant, I did not hesitate to name Restaurant 213. They then said, "No, in Ocean City, on the island." That answer was not so clear. My point is that Restaurant 213 is head and shoulders above any other restaurant in the area. In reading reviews, it is clear that people either love or hate the restaurant. If you're more comfortable in a NJ diner than in a fine dining restaurant, then the nuances of 213 will probably be lost on you. But if you like fine dining, then do not miss the opportunity to sample Jim Hughes' take on the experience. The menu is eclectic, with seafood and a variety of meats and poultry. There will be something for everyone. Try the grilled Romaine salad. The steaks are all Angus, and prepared to your liking (unlike some other seafood restaurants). Trust me, it's worth the drive from Ocean City!
