We chose Texas Roadhouse for my son’s birthday dinner, as it’s a tradition to celebrate each of our kids’ birthdays with family. We had a large party and called the day before to give them a heads-up, as we always do for restaurants. The host informed me they don’t take reservations, which was fine, but they do allow call-ahead seating. When I asked if I could at least let them know we were coming, I was told I had to call back the next day. I called back at 3 PM as instructed and was told the same thing: they could seat us only once everyone arrived, and we would be at separate tables but next to each other. Again, I understood and was fine with that.
We arrived 20 minutes early, with our entire party present. They told us the tables were being prepared. Nearly an hour later, we were finally seated, only to find that we weren’t even placed near each other! Instead of a birthday celebration with family, we were scattered across the restaurant. It completely ruined the experience for my son, who wanted to spend time with his cousins, grandparents, uncles, and aunts.
What made it even more frustrating was that as I looked around, I could see there were plenty of options for us to be seated beside each other. We’ve been to this location multiple times before, and I know it would’ve been possible with a little more effort or organization.
Additionally, when I called earlier in the day, they specifically asked what the large party was for. I told them it was for my son’s birthday, but they never passed this information along to our waiter. We had to go out of our way to find her and let her know it was his birthday.
The only redeeming factor was our amazing server, Crystal. She was kind, apologetic, and went above and beyond despite the situation, which was out of her control.
Honestly, I would have preferred to be told upfront that they couldn’t accommodate us rather than having this disappointing experience. It was a special occasion, and the poor organization and communication took away from what should have been a memorable night. We’ll likely reconsider visiting this location in the future.

Got a to go order, waited forever, was told they were making my salad, sadly I didn’t get my salad… the baked potato was rubbery, probably cooked yesterday, and my steak wasn’t even lukewarm…. Wasted $20

You have to be insane to not like the warm rolls that they give out! My kids love this place. Myself I like the chili and a salad but sometimes whoever perhaps the chili includes a lot of gristle in the meat and that's unpleasant but not a deal-breaker. We always enjoy going here.
