Banditos Tacos & Tequila Maple Lawn

I waited until my third visit to leave a review, hoping the service would improve. Unfortunately, each visit over the past year with different servers has been consistently disappointing. Service has been painfully slow- long waits just to be greeted, forgotten sides with the meal, missing utensils, and no one checking in for refills. I really wanted to like this place since it’s a local neighborhood spot, but the poor service has made it hard to enjoy. The food is decent, but it’s a shame they can’t seem to hire staff that provides better service. We won’t be returning.

This was the worst Mexican I’ve ever had. How is this place in business. You can get better refried beans from a can from the grocery. Their rice and beans tasted terrible.

Food and atmosphere were great, especially the Rus and Gus tacos and the empanadas! Service was pretty awful - they forgot our water, utensils, one of my husband's tacos, and then our check after we pointed out that we were charged for the missing taco, and it took a long time to find our waiter to ask for these things.

I have been here twice in the last month. Each time I have gotten the combo special which includes two tacos (choose from any on the menu), rice and beans for about $16. The taco flavors are creative and I have liked all four that I tried.. Both servers were great. My only complaint is that both times, cold air blew down on us even though it was December. It made the experience a little bit uncomfortable.

Many servers walked by and did not stop to ask if we had been helped or had our order taken. When I raised my hand to ask for service, the person that responded came over with an attitude, but said they would get someone. When the server finally came, we had already been waiting for 15 minutes and had not even been asked if we wanted water. Once the order was placed, the server we had was inattentive the entire time. I observed her asking her other tables if they needed anything, but not us. I had to ask for a drink refill. The most attention she gave was when it was time to pay because she wanted a tip. That’s the only time she made conversation. The food is usually good as well. However, this evening it lacked flavor. I requested corn tortillas because I have a wheat allergy. I asked her to verify because they looked like flour. Now I’m home sick and my whole body has swelled up. They used to be a nice restaurant. I’m not sure what happened this evening, but I don’t believe I will be returning.

The food was fine but nothing special. The margarita was good. It’s Maple Lawn so nothing is cheap. Service is not good. Every time I’ve gone, service is somewhat poor.

This was my second time here. Both times service was terrible. 12 of us from a school around the corner came for happy hour. Most of us were very disappointed with the bartender and waited way for our orders to be taken. This location needs some tips from the Coumbia location. The decision was simple to head over to Looney.

Manager JULIE is outstanding. She welcomed me in on my first time 10min before closing. Made taco recommendations. She was friendly, helpful and personally waited on me, checking in from time to time. I was impressed with her service. Give JULIE bonus and recognition.

I was super surprised. I thought this was just another bar everyone went to;
however, they had a great selection of tequila and tacos, both were great. you can make your own of everything — tacos, drink flights, bowls, burritos. my bartender was Ty— shout out for GREAT service. I recommend the pollo asado tacos and the 3 dips with chips. the guacamole ? is good too.

As I sit here writing this from Chipotle 50 yards away I am beyond upset with the service here. My wife and I went in when it wasn’t busy at all( see photo) waited for 10 minutes and no one came to take an order or even say hello. The absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced. Never coming here again. Avoid at all costs if you value service

Food/Drink, 1.5/5: I got the CBR & Nashville Hot tacos. For a drink I got Skanté Azul. The tacos were too bad, but the drink was TRASH! It was just sugar and alcohol.

Pricing, 3/5: Pricing wasn't too bad. Typically tex mex pricing. Happy hour price isn't too bad and they have pretty good deals!

Service, 1/5: Our waitress was terrible and incredibly slow. We cane towards the end of happy hour and even then she had only 3 tables max, but took forever to come to us. We were seated for at least 15 mins before someone even came to our table.

Aesthetic/Atmosphere, 3/5: The atmosphere was chill, typical bar/restaurant vibes. Nothing spectacular about it.

Overall Experience, 1.5/5: I never write bad reviews, but with the service and waiting. This place was not it. I had high hopes because I heard good things about the White Marsh location, but I would not recommend this place. Only go to this place if you want to wait 20-25 mins for your drinks. On top of everything else my friend also found a bug crawling in her tacos.
