I used to love this place but recently it has gone down hill and it's so sad. The other day I ordered an iced pumpkin spice latte but all I got was regular iced coffee. I brought it to the attention of the staff, but when they remade it for me, they overdid it with the pumpkin spice and it was way too sweet, I couldn't finish it. The muffin I ordered was so stale, it tasted like it was made the week before. I asked them to heat it up but that didn't help. Also, do they even clean this place? On the ground near our table were two dead spotted lantern flies. I hope they get their act together soon.

Edit in response to owner: Judging by their reply to my comment, as well as others, it seems that all they do is make excuses instead of taking accountability because their ego was hurt. I did not ask for extra syrup in my latte, I asked for normal pumpkin spice syrup because I was handed a regular coffee. The muffin was stale, NOT overbaked. Even a child could taste the difference between a stale and an overbaked muffin. Finally, having four large doors is not a justification for multiple dead bugs inside on the floor. That is disgusting. Your crew should be cleaning through the day which they clearly are not. Take a look at your window sills, you’ll notice a healthy amount of fallen sprinkles and crumbs (;

Decadent has been on my visit list for a while and finally had the opportunity to try it. It's probably a good thing I don't live closer, I would be there everyday! Visited on a Saturday morning, it was busy but line was moving with lots of food and beverages coming from the kitchen. The short wait gave us a chance to look over the many choices on the menu. It was difficult to pick , everything looked great. We chose a bacon egg cheese croissant and a ham egg cheese croissant. I also ordered a hot chai. What a treat to have a freshly made sandwich. Scrambled eggs were fluffy, the cheddar was gooey and blended well with the ham. The croissant-- oh my, the flaky warm croissant, I will go back just for croissants! The chai was in a mug, not a to go cup, great touch. It was warm, not too hot to drink, and flavorful. Definitely wasn't a mass produced powdered chai mix.
We sat at a corner table and watched lots of foot traffic in and out, tables filled during the hour or so we were there. We didn't feel rushed but also didn't want to take a table for too long. Most of the staff was young and all seemed eager to make sure everyone was happy with their selections. The owners engaged frequently with the staff and customers. Their commitment to service and quality is evident. I'm from a lifetime career in hospitality, you notice when it goes above and beyond.
Long rant, I know but there is more!
We wanted to try some of the desserts and pastries and struggled to narrow down our selection. We chose to take home a blueberry scone, a huge portion of coffee cake and a sfogliatelle, a new item on their menu. I can't pronounce it, but boy was it delicious. We split it Saturday evening, half was more than enough for a treat. Flaky with creamy orange scented filling. Sunday morning we warmed the scone and coffee cake for 20 seconds in the microwave and it was just like fresh. I didn't try the scone but the coffee cake is soooo good. The pricing was much less than mass produced grocery store or chain items, a pleasant surprise. Moist cinnamony and fluffy. I look forward to going back soon to try some of their cakes and house made gelato, perhaps an evening date to try some of their cocktails and wine as well. Go, you won't be sorry!

The staff were rude and all three young staff members were too busy gossiping behind the counter to bother taking my order. Hopefully they hire better high school workers who deserve the job more.

Real iced chai was yummy! Clearly not made from the concentrate you get everywhere else! A great find for a weekend breakfast or coffee treat or an after dinner dessert! A few ways to increase efficiency of service. Yummy treats and best strawberry sorbet to I've ever had!

We love Decadent and go there often with my kids. We’ve been loyal customers since they opened in 2020. I went with my kids last night for gelato and really appreciate the convenience of being able to enjoy an adult beverage as well.

I ordered an IPA, but I was given half a glass filled mostly with foam. The server said, “If you want, when the foam goes down, I will refill it.” I waited, but when I went back for the refill, I was told she had gone on break. If she knew she was about to go on break, I don’t understand why she couldn’t have poured the rest of the beer into another glass before leaving.

I ended up waiting 20–30 minutes (since my kids were playing), and when I finally got the refill, it was just a small top-off — with no apology or acknowledgment. It’s not about the money but the customer service aspect. I felt uncomfortable, almost as if I was the one at fault.

This was our first bad experience at Decadent since they opened, which is disappointing because we have always loved coming here.

update: Once a Favorite -- Now a Place I Can Never Return To

I've been coming here for years. I've recommended this place to friends, neighbors, and clients. We've ordered custom cakes for the holidays, celebrated birthdays, brought out-of-town guests here -- this was our spot. Until today...

I came in with my daughter, who has anaphylactic-level dairy allergies, and asked for strawberry sorbet -- the only thing on the menu that's usually safe for her. She noticed something was off, and sure enough: the same scoop had just been used for chocolate ice cream.

I politely asked if there was chocolate in the sorbet. It wasnt a 'stray scoop', which would also have been enough to cause issues, and which is not how any establishment concerned with safety of their patrons should operate imho...

But the strawberry sorbet looked like Deebos underpants from Friday... The first employee walked away mid-sentence and said someone else would take our drink order (we hadn't ordered any). The next employee, visibly indifferent, confirmed there was nothing they could do, and shrugged. Their manager finally confirmed the contamination, apologized -- but again, no real concern or action.

This isn't about hurt feelings or customer service. This was a near medical emergency that we avoided only because my daughter was vigilant. This was negligence.

We're not coming back. Not because I'm angry, but because I now understand that my family -- and others with serious dietary needs -- simply aren't safe here. It hurts to say this after years of loyalty, but I can't in good conscience recommend this place to anyone anymore.

Great spot with desserts and coffee - surprisingly also has a bar. They roast their own coffee and the service was great. We will come back.

Purchase a slice of strawberry short cake. It was way too sweet. Ask if it could be exchanged the answer was no. The high price should guarantee the product. My first time not being satisfied. They were too greedy to lose the price of cake to make me happy. Now I would rather shop elsewhere we're i feel valuable not just a dollar amount. Great product. I will not be back over $7. Alot of bakeries out here. I will find a other great bakery. Thanks for not caring.

Was so excited to try this place. It’s so small and the seating seems crammed together; there isn’t much room to maneuver around especially while waiting for an order. It was underwhelming. The atmosphere seems decent and the employees were pleasant. The breakfast sandwich was average but nothing to be excited about. The dog treats were cute and my pup devoured those. I would love to try desert. The website has so many options; I wish they offered a sampling package similar to like a wine/drink flight but that might not be feasible. Might try again but just not sure what all the hype and rave reviews are about. Unless there is something specific that they are known for it is just a local average coffee shop.

They blacked out prices and do not have a single menu available showing updated prices on their dozens of pastries. It isnt hard or expensive to print some more stickers for the prices. Without them, it wastes time and reduces customer trust.

My favorites are wedding cake and birthday cake! Can't go wrong with the classics. Cakes are tender, moist and flavorful. Frostings are sweet but not too sweet that they overpower the cake. They perfectly compliment each other. Truly delicious and my favorite treats.

So I usually love this place. I called to have cake held which they confirmed. When I arrived i was told they lied and did not hold the slice as promised. Just be honest that's good business. Especially since I've been running businesses for years. Don't bullshit customers they won't return.
